It really is a make or miss league. Reaves suddenly looks like a pumpkin after hitting 40-footers against us  ::)

Overall with Embiid also out for a while (and possibly the season) I think it's New York and Miami who are our biggest threats in the East. Knicks are on a hot stretch but they are also smart, well constructed and added OG + Precious who have made an impact. They've given us recent trouble in the past too. It'd be a pretty fun playoff series if it's Knicks-Celtics ECF. Not really worried about Milwaukee still.

I agree the heat and Knicks are dangerous but to not take Milwaukee serious is crazy to me. 2 first ballot hall of famers, they could put it together and get hot in the playoffs, who knows? As poorly as they’ve played they still have a better record than the other teams mentioned. They can beat us.

I expect the lakers turn back into the real lakers tonight

I’m really warming to the idea that the Lakers play better without Lebron. Reaves and Hachimura look nothing like how they played agains us.

Bucks are inconsistent and lack a third scorer.

Boston’s biggest challenge is themselves. Their best beats everyone else in the east.

If they fart around they can lose to anyone in the playoffs.

Aside from that, Bucks still present the biggest threat but they could have a tricky path to the ECF. They don’t want to see the pacers.

Not really worried about the sixers, heat and magic

Mildly concerned about the Knicks and pacers

Really could see the cavs being a team that could give the Celtics some issues.

Giannis getting away with murder. Fouled the crap out of Tim Hardaway on one end. No call. Fouls Luka. No call. Fouls Luka again, so blatant the ref has to call it. Meanwhile goes down the same end and gets an even softer call in his favour than the no-call he got on Tim Hardaway. Same situation, same foul. Far less contact. One is a foul. One isn't.

It is not like Giannis needs help from the refs. He is one of the most dominant players in the league. And he is playin against a team with no shot-blockers. Once he beats his man it is a layup or dunk. Nobody on DAL can stop him because there is no second line to the defense.

Dallas are so small right now

C: Kleber
F: Luka
F: Derrick Jones Jr
G: Josh Green
G: Tim Hardaway Jr

How do you expect to win when your two bigs on the floor are Luka and Kleber?

No interior defense. No rim protection. No-one to defend big bodies. Luka is the only plus rebounder on the court. Everyone else is average to well below average. So no rebounding.

So what do you do? Play zone.

Giannis and Lillard are both on the floor against this Mavs lineup. Middleton too. Portis. Beasley. How are you going to stop scorers like Giannis and Lillard with that Mavs defensive lineup? You cannot.

Portis just posted up Josh Green and got an easy layup. No resistance. Too small. Cannot defend a PF like Portis.

Now Luka is the defensive matchup against Giannis. He is their best Giannis defender. That is how bad this lineup is defensively. Followed by a layup for Giannis.

Celtics going to get no help with the cavs and bucks tonight’.

Knicks and sixers losing gets the Celtics up another half game on them.

At least the Knicks love fest will slow down

25 minutes, 2 points and I guess some cardio?

What the hell does Grant Williams even do for Dallas lol. He’s just regressed since the 2022 Finals. Glad we didn’t pay him tbh

Grant was the only forward I saw play any defense. He was good on that side of the ball. Struggled too much on offense though. Still they were better with him on the floor than off because the alternatives to him were just so bad defensively that it was an open invitation to Milwaukee to score the ball.

Oh ok, never mind then. I stand corrected lol.

Idk I just think for a 3&D guy he should still be putting up some points and helping on offense too. Seems like his pump fakes and hesitations on shots remain

Wait, DiVincenzo took 16 threes tonight. So soon after the 30 threes taken in two games. And had another 16 threes in the game in between. So another 32 threes in the two games since.

4 straight games of 15-16 three point attempts.

62 threes taken in 4 games by DiVicenzo.
