Blazers win, Bucks lose.  Celtics now with a 5 game lead — we’re very close to running away and hiding from the rest of the East.

Oh man, what a loss for Milwaukee and Dame  ;D

Starting off 0-2 on the 5 game road trip thus far, and this one was by far the easiest one on the schedule and primed for a win in Dame's return. An 0-5 trip for Milwaukee is not out of the question with a tough B2B this weekend @ Mavs and @ Utah then a game at @ Phoenix for a third game in fourth nights.

They're in trouble. Between Embiid's likely knee injury and Milwaukee's free-fall and super difficult remaining schedule - coupled with New York and Cleveland surging and getting healthier - that second and third seed is really looking up for grabs right now.

Doc completely screwed the Bucks late in the game. Why did they get Lillard again?

Perhaps the 4-5 matchup will be Milwaukee and Philly, and we get to pick either team apart in the East Semis (assuming we clear out the first-round). And the 6th seeded Pacers can creep up to Philly without Embiid.

C's need to take care of business the rest of teh way to lock up the #1 seed.

Get enough of a big lead for home court at end of the season & Celtics can rest their starters for the playoffs
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

yeah, thats a tough road trip. looks like Doc hasn't magically fixed the team. Still not understanding why they fired 2 coaches when the problem is clearly with the players.

theres a pretty good chance Milwaukee falls out of the #2 seed and down the standings.

I saw Doc’s post game interview. He said they opted to give the ball to Giannis even though he knew that Portland was gonna foul. His reason was that since they were down three, the plan was for Giannis to make the first free throw and miss the second, and that Giannis was good at getting the offensive board in those situations and eventually score the tying basket. How bizzare.

listen, when you have the chance to get a coach who can get you a 3-1 lead in a playoff series, you just have to take it.

Bucks better hope they avoid the pacers in round one. But I do not see them getting the ECF. Just play slow. No defense and they look old.

Middleton looks cooked.

I think there's a decent chance Boston could legit wrap up the 1 seed by late-March. Even if the C's go like 23-11 to finish with 60 wins the rest of the way, I'd be stunned if any of MIL/PHI/NYK could reach 60 wins. They'd have to be scorching hot (almost .800 winning percentage rest of the way) to catch up.

Also kind of stating the obvious, but if Embiid's knee is seriously hurt then Philly's toast. It also sounds like he's laboring and playing sluggish which still isn't good come playoff time. Philly is now the 5 seed btw.

I think it ends up:

1. Boston
2. Cleveland
3. Bucks
4. Knicks
5. Pacers
6. Sixers
7. Heat
8. Magic

I think Embiid's knee (s) are in bad shape. Miami seems to enjoy underachieving but might just be a bad team in general. Cavs now healthy are really good.

A Bucks-Sixers first round matchup would be wild.

Bucks lost to Portland. Maybe the coach isn’t the issue after all.

Giannis: 27/8/4, 10-16 from the field, 0-2 from 3pt. Middleton: 21/2/8, 9-13 from the field, 3-5 from 3pt. Lillard:  25/7/6, 9-23 from the field, 3-13 from 3pt.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
