So needless but, sadly, it was inevitable

The NBA and NBPA have now finalized plans for the two-day draft in June, sources tell ESPN.

Maybe there will be some intrigue this year if people think Bronny James will get picked in second round and determine where Lebron goes, but a normal year it is really hard to imagine anyone watching this. If it has terrible ratings, which I predict it will, the NBA will scrap it cause this is clearly just to make money. To their credit at least the nba scrapped all the gimmicks of the all star game when the fans (mostly) disliked it and nobody watched the captains selections.

Basically made this for Bronny James aka LeCommissioner.

Related to this I guess Bronny James i no longer in the latest ESPN mock draft, which is kind of humorous cause he was the one guy doing outlandish predictions for Bronny in the last year. I hope Bronny gets another year at USC and can just play free and healthy.

Orlando have been one of the more fun teams in the league this season. Good game going on between them and Minnesota right now.

Magic are close to being a title contender. Just need a bit more offense to supplement their defense. Not there yet but close.

Kinda feel like the Pistons before they added Sheed.

Anfernee Simons is like a taller Jason Terry. Smooth.

Jokic is a one man wrecking crew. They force the switch, give him the ball, run around him and wait for the defense to make a mistake and when they do Jokic burns them.

27pts 22reb 12ast for Jokic

Since joining the Heat, Rozier is playing 29.4mpg and he’s averaging: 10pts, 3.6rebs, 5.6ast. Shooting 34.5% from the field and 33% from 3pt.  :-X

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I would caution being too quick to judge this.  Remember how bad Derrick White was when he first got to the Celtics?  It can take some time to adjust and integrate with a new team.  Rozier will be an upgrade to Lowry once he gets acclimated, I believe.  Lowry is just worn out.  Time will tell if they overpaid for Rozier, giving up a first, but I suggest you give this some time before making a final judgement.

I like the comparison. I didn't think much of Simons going into that draft, but he's proving to be an outstanding player - especially for a 20th-something selection.

No final judgment here. I imagine he will get better, can’t really do much worse. Lol. Also, I think the Heat made a mistake not pursuing Brogdon. Glad they went with Terry, though. It’s better for the C’s.

Yeah, there is an I in Rozier. He's not really a team-first type of guy but if anyone can make it work it's Spo.

Top-4 in the West is all chaos. Only 1 game separates all four teams. Could impact matchups as well

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid — the reigning NBA MVP — has been diagnosed with a displaced flap of the meniscus in his left knee and is weighing rest/rehab or a procedure, according to two sources.

It sounds like either a meniscectomy (removal of a meniscus) or a full repair (surgery). The former is a 4-8 week timeline. Latter is 4-6 months. Keep in mind though, Embiid has had a partial meniscus removal done already on his left leg in 2017. Doing another could truly lead to arthritis + chronic knee problems for the rest of his life. Obviously their team and medical professions will decide and have specific information but I think Embiid is better off shutting it down for this season and getting it fully repaired. Even if he chooses rest/rehab or another removal he won't be 100% this season and might only be able to play limited minutes.

Considering Embiid is turning 30 next month, he might be damaged goods at this point. Hopefully not, but it’s starting to seem that way.
