Kyries thought process is all over the place . He just says whatever comes to his mind... a lot of brilliant people are like that but he isn’t brilliant.
By proclaiming his commitment to the Celtics last summer I think he p---ed of Rozier who was caught between being a backup and not having the minutes to showcase for his next contract and not getting traded to a better situation.
There is definitely a correlation between Rozier a performance level and kyries game availability

Terry Rozier said Kyrie Irving was active giving him point guard advice tonight: "It’s just to have him right here in my corner, it’s special.”

It would help if Hayward would begin to play better. If I'm Ainge you cannot risk him leaving for nothing. Ainge should just tell Kyrie. Hey it's looking like we can't work a deal with AD because we can't part with what they want on a rental. I have been contacted by teams about you...what do think of team A, B or C?

If you are asked every single day to confirm your plans for July 1, eventually you will answer how he did.  Personally am impressed he lasted this long.  Do people expect Kyrie to take a blood oath every morning?

Funny how these quotes didn't make a lot of Twitter feeds:

"Obviously this has become an entertainment thing for everybody. So somebody else is asking for a trade and I’m thrown into that, and uncertainty comes back on me. At the end of the day I don’t live in this little hub. Some people call me about this dumb sh*t, and of course my name [keeps getting] thrown in this."

"This is a new position for me to be in, answering all these questions, seeing all this stuff that I’m trying to avoid, and it’s just a distraction. It’s crazy how stories and things and storylines can seep into a locker room. You guys are part of the destruction of locker rooms."

TP.

In the “good old days” this stuff would never come to light, and I think we would not be worse for it. They are 20-something basketball players. I’d rather let them play the game and stop trying to turn the NBA into a reality series.

To be fair, I don't think it is the Boston media asking. It died down tremendously since October. Rich Paul and the national media set this second round off.

Amazing basketball talent.
Annoying puke of a man....making it hard to even want him to stay. Could have just said this to start the year

To me, he’s a totally normal man in a ridiculous, almost insane environment - where reporters are trying to squeeze drama out of every word he says. The sad reality is that the “smart” thing to do is to lie or to give robot-like nonanswers.

Well this paints a much different picture than the little soundbite that got headlines.

I hate sports media, man.

Little Mountain is staying.

He is finishing what he started, here in BOSTON.

The detractors on here are LOVING this - using this as an opportunity to bash him.

And for ALL of those who note that the team seemingly plays better without him? Well I'm not going to number crunch but I would've LOVED Kyrie Irving's Big Game heroics in Game 7 against CLE last year.

Here's hoping he stays focused on the mission at hand - letting Brad Stevens incorporate his VAST skill-set into our team dynamic and getting us into June 2019.

Soldier on, Little Mountain.

Drawn out the noise and stay focused on Boston.

Kyrie is likely dealing with concerns from Tatum and Brown regarding an Anthony Davis trade.  The national media is painting a picture where Kyrie is gone unless we acquire Davis.  This must be extra frustrating because Irving wants to win THIS season with THIS group.  The last thing he wants is for them to worry about being traded because of him.  Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what he says because they might get moved anyways.

Kyrie Irving was asked on Friday about the Knicks’ trade of Kristaps Porzingis: “I respect the Knicks organization. Obviously they are making moves to position themselves for this upcoming summer. So I wish them the best.” – via Twitter IanBegley

“I’m not worrried about a reputation, I’m not worried about a legacy to leave, I’m just trying to be a human being and make the best decision for me and my family.”—a visibly annoyed @KyrieIrving when asked about his commitment to the Celtics after this season

“I’ve spent the last 8 years trying to do what everybody else wanted me to do in terms of making my decisions and trying to validate thru the media, thru other personnel, managers and I don’t owe anybody sh*t.” —@KyrieIrving this AM about his future FA decision
