Oh please. I have seen you talk out of your ass more than I have seen the sun come up.

Biyombo = worth a lottery pick.

Anthony Bennett = going to be a stud

Parson gets injured = potential career ending injury

Joem Embiid's setback = conspiracy by Philly's front office.

Noah = career is about to end

Corey Joesph = worth a lottery pick

Give it a rest!

I think we should post this in the Yahoo league when the season starts, as part of a guide to new GMs
Right... and other GMs don't do this, right?  You just sent me a message saying Dario Saric is on the same level as Andrew Wiggins, Towns, Okafor and Jabari Parker.   Eja thinks his 2016 #21 pick is worth Jabari Parker.    When I reached out about LaMarcus Aldridge, Birdman asked for Julius Randle, Khris Middleton, Otto Porter jr and Jrue Holiday.

 ::)

You forgot to mention that I didn't send you any offers , what you just posted was my response to your unsolicited offer of Boyombo for Saric , which I found insulting considering I have repeatedly told you I'm not looking to trade Saric whom I gave up a top 2 pick to land, and I've made my feeling on Biymbo clear all across celticsblog forums
I dont' mind that you're overvaluing Saric.  It's fine.  My point is that everyone does it.

Well this is why you've p---ed everyone off. Either you don't get it or your a jerk who thinks everyone is stupid. Your stated value of your players is not fact while our values are wrong

And you're right... the offers I receive are pretty consistently worse than the offers I make.  But I don't come on here and try to boycott members for trying to squeeze an overpay out of me.  Typically, they succeed in squeezing it out of me.

Biyombo is going to outplay at least 75% of this draft.   It is what it is.
Yeah. If we could just put that in our signature that would be great. Because this would be the first draft that he outplays almost any of. I grant you he may outplay them in Europe. I mean if you put the Euro stats he's going to have up against the NBA stats NBA players have he may very well have higher shooting percentages and blocks per game etc.

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic about Biyombo.  Who knows.

Biyombo averaged 19fp in 19mpg.   Down the stretch he averaged close to 30fp in 30mpg.

Are you expecting his minutes to go down or up next year?  He's a restricted free agent.  I'll bookmark this thread and we can take a look in January.   Is Biyombo averaging more or less than 19 minutes next season?  Either he re-signs in Charlotte and continues festering on their bench, he signs to play off someone else's bench, or someone signs him at an inflated price to be their starting center since he provides elite-level defense.   If someone overpays to steal hiim away from Charlotte, is your expectation that they'll play him under 20 minutes?

In 2011, 12 rookies averaged over 20fp (Biyombo was the 13th best).  In 2012, 8 rookies averaged over 20fp.  In 2013, only 3 rookies averaged over 20fp.   In 2014, in what was believed to be a historic draft, only 8 rookies averaged over 20fp (and that includes both Noel and Mirotic... neither of which were part of that draft class).

How many rookies are you expecting to average over 20fp in 2015?   3?  8?  12?

There's 60 rookies in this draft class.  75% of 60 = 45.     Thus, by saying that Biyombo will outperform 75% of this draft class,  I merely need him to average over 20fp (very dooable) while only 15 rookies do the same (pretty high).

We'll see what happens.  I could be wrong.  There's 15 picks in the lotto.  Biyombo is 22 years old and at worst I see him performing as a low lotto pick.   Hence why I wouldn't trade him for less than a lotto pick.

What am I missing?  In 2014, only 9 rookies outperformed Biyombo.     Thus... in 2014, Biyombo outperformed 85% of the players taken in the 2014 draft  ... 75% is conservative.

This is news from April

Bismack Biyombo will almost certainly see the value of his qualifying offer from the Hornets shrink from more than $5.194MM to nearly $4.046MM thanks to the starter criteria that he has virtually no chance of meeting. Executives are “nearly unanimous” that he wouldn’t command annual salaries of that nearly $5.2MM amount in free agency this summer, according to Lowe, though while most people believe a team could snag him for about $4MM a year, no one is sure about that, Lowe adds.

My prediction....Biyombo doesn't play in the NBA next year. Most likely spots....CSKA Moscow, Turkey (Fenerbache), Zalgiris Kaunus, Lietuvos Rytas, or possibly Neptunas or Juventus, but then he'd have to deal with living in Utena, which if you've never been there.....it doesn't really scream prime free agent destination, but they finished third in the LKL last year, so he might not start for them, or if he did that would be great.  He is in no way, shape, or form good enough for Panathikos or Real Madrid

Lol.  That'd be funny.  So you're predicting 0 minutes for Biyombo.  Ok.

If that happens, I'll reluctantly cut him.  As-is, I expect him to outperform 75% of the rookies in the draft this year.  Again, this is conservative seeing as only 9 rookies average more FP than Biyombo this season... thus he outperformed  85% of the 2014 draftees.

Also, that "news" isn't "news".   The value of the qualifying offer is based on the amount of minutes/starts a player gets in the final two seasons of his rookie contract.  Biyombo would have had to average 41 starts to get that higher qualifying offer.  He started 21 games... so he gets a lower qualifying offer.  This is assuming he get a qualifying offer at all... you are suggesting that the HOrnets will just let him walk.  And the value of his qualfying offer has nothing to do with what a team will offer him in free agency and whether or not the HOrnets match.    Jae Crowder's qualifying offer is 1.2 mil.  That doesn't mean Jae Crowder can only get 1.2 mil next year.

I want to point out there's a difference between averaging a certain amount and actually contributing to your team.

If he gets a 20 fppg average he is worth about the same as a rookie who averages 15 if the rookie plays in 82 games and he plays in 60.

The great Biyombo played in 64 whole games last year despite injuries to Al J, Cody Z, and the fact that Noah Vonleh wasn't ready and barely played.

If he stays with them he is on track to play about 4 minutes a game in about 30 games.

Yup and on both points (averaging and contributing), I expect biyombo to outperform 75% of the rookies.  Should have a similar impact to wcs.

He would have been the 5th best big at Kentucky last year. Maybe. Depends on if you consider Poythress a big.

only if you assume that his stats as a College Junior would be worse than they were as an NBA starter.  Should be a fun season of revelations.

I think it's kinda cute when you refer to Biyombo as an NBA starter. Hey look mom. I'm an NBA starter. Phil Pressey was an NBA starter. Everyone is an nba starter!

Can we just take a quick poll?  Going into next season with koufos as a FA who would you rather have, biyambo or koufos?
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

He started 1/3rd of his games last year.  His numbers during those games were more impressive than WCS's 3rd year College stats.

You can't fathom a world where Biyombo is successful.  I wonder what your reaction will be if you're proven wrong.

If everyone picks Koufas and a few months into the season Biyombo is outplaying him significantly, does this lend proof to my "fluctuating trade value" theory that ChampKind called me a "dipsh** F'ing Weirdo" over?

Or are you all going to still pretend that Koufas is more valuable?
