I just learnt something new today - there is a HUGE dropoff in talent after pick #8 in this upcoming draft. Huge enough that the #10 pick won't fetch me a player better than Stauskas or Biyombo. SMH.  Some people will never learn.
I gave up a ton to get from 10 to 8.  Im certainly not the only one who sees a clear drop off after Okafor, towns, Russell, mudiay, Winslow, pozingus, Mario, and wcs... So if this is your first time hearing that, your welcome.

And I merely said #10 will not fetch you any player on MY TEAM other than staukas or biyombo. This is merely because every single player on my team has significantly more trade value than #10.  I said the only two guys I'd consider moving for that pick would be staukas or biyombo, both of which arguably will be better than whatever you get at #10.

Look at my roster again... Would any of the real teams who owned those players give them up for #10?  That's a resounding "nope".

Don't make it sound like I sent you a trade offer for any of your players. I didn't. I'm not interested in trading with you. Keep your players  on your team. Just don't send me 1000 words PM telling me how crappy the tenth pick is and how better off I would be with Biyombo or Stauskas. Stop lecturing me. Stop with the PMs. I think I know about basketball just as much as you do if not more.

Have a good day!
i didn't say you would be better off with those guys. I offered you the disciples 1st for #10 because someone prefers it in a trade package. I was explaining to you why it might benefit you.  You said you'd only trade 10 for a player. I just relayed that the only two players on my roster I'd trade for 10 were biykmbo and stauskas.  I was clear that I wasn't forcing them on you. But both could be better than who you get at 10.

After the latest Toine's Boys trade gets announced soon, which brings in the last piece needed before the draft, Toine's Boys front office will also partially shut down. Although offices are always open to listen to offers, no offers will be actively made from now until a week before our draft.

I'm looking to acquire a star superstar using the #10 pick. Someone close to Biyombo's production. If you have that rare gem on your team, lets talk.

You traded Anderson for #10.  I was trying to trade Disciples 2016 1st for #10 so that I could trade #10 for Anderson and then flip Anderson to you for Disciples 2016 1st.  Thus, you could get back the all-star that you traded to get #10.  Everyone ends up happy.

Either you think this draft is a lot deeper than the pundits suggest or you think Disciples will be much improved next year (very possible... probably why Disciples wanted Shved/Bennett instead of the pick).   No big deal that you didn't like the offer... but to jump back into this thread and go "hey guise I've been wronged too... LarBrd33 sent me a trade request omg" was a bit much.   My offer to you was the equivalent of Detroit offering their 2016 unprotected 1st to Boston for #16 this year.   Boston/You don't have to take it...  perhaps Boston/you have more faith in Detroit/Disciples than others.  Perhaps Boston/You are convinced Monroe/Melo's future is safe in Detroit/Disciples.  That's fine...   but to publicly declare wrongdoing after such an offer is a bit much.  If we can stop on the "me-too!" bandwagon bullying, that'd be great.

How many times are you going to publicly state that Biyombo is not available unless its for a very good player. So if he isn't available for anything but a ransom, why offer him for a pick that's going to be really crappy (in your highly esteemed opinion)?

How many times (like seriously)...how many times do I have to ask you not to send me any PMs? I ignored your PMs. But then you decided to play detective and sent me that long email about how you're sure that you've zeroed in on the the GM who was talking trash about you on that BS flutter feed (I won't name the GM unless you deny all of this too...like you deny everything you mention in PMs). IP logger was a brilliant idea though. ::)

Its simple - I don't want any trade offers from you. I don't send any your way...and I'll appreciate it if you'd reciprocate.

BFM, you're being less then genuine.  You've made several posts over the last week attacking me.  I'm not going to let someone attack me based on half-truths and lies without at least saying my side of it.  For instance, you sang glowing praises about a veteran GM who was clashing with me.  It was an effort to discredit me (despite the fact the veteran GM had been aggressively insulting towards me back in January for no apparent reason... this wasn't the first time I had a problem with him).   Well, bombshell... I found proof that it was indeed that veteran GM who was tormenting me for weeks on the flutter feed... sending at least 8 posts per day personally insulting me, because he thought he was hidden behind anonymity.   I found conclusive proof that he was the one posting it, I called him out on it privately and offered an olive branch... He wasn't man enough to apologize, but it's clear he will not be doing it again if I reopen the flutter feed... which is fine with me.

So not to shame that GM publicly, I reached out to a couple members privately who were obviously not getting the full story.  You were one of the folks I reached out to, because you were running your mouth in this thread attacking me and I felt like you deserved to understand you were wrong.  I couldn't account for your misguided bias clouding my point, though.

Then today, I figure, "Ok... well here's a pretty no-brainer and fair offer I can send to BFM.  He's a challenging character who has been on my jock ever since I casually defended Pitts in one of their many drama-fests two seasons ago, but he should at least see the logic in this one... I'll offer him the Disciples 1st for #10".   So let's point out some hypocrisy here first... since a couple guys here made a pretty sizeable stink about how valuable the Disciples 1st was.  The basis of their argument was that it could, theoretically, end up #1 next year.  So then I offer it to you... and suddenly, (not surprisingly given the bias), it's such an insulting offer that you come onto this thread and publicly join the bandwagon of "LarBrd33... Don't send me trade offers!! Uggh".

Come on, BFM.  This was entirely unnecessary.   I've attempted to smooth things over with you for over two seasons.  I'm not the only person in this league who has felt your wrath in the past.   Instead of just responding to your concerns, you jump in this thread and join along with the "LarBrd33 Hate Train" and post stuff out of context to once again try and discredit me.

Couple points I want to bring up.

There's 4 people in this thread who have publicly declared they have "cut off" LarBrd33.  Three of those guys have continued to engage in trade talks with me.  Mind games are a real part of this league.  Some just can't see it.   Of the 4 GM's who have pretended to cut me off, One of those guys is probably  my main rival towards building the next contender and probably stands to benefit if I stop improving.  Another one of those guys has a clear incentive for me not to improve (he owns my 2016 1st).   And the other two have generated drama with several members of this league other than myself.

@LarBrd33

Ignoring everything you've typed above. You have two versions of everything.

Anyway, this was from yesterday. Before you sent me a PM today with your trade offer:

See BFM's post above... once again trying to peg Chaz Buick's rumors on me.   I bet BFM was the one who posted it.  Lol.

You're an annoying prick! Don't mention me or my players on your website. Don't send me any trade offers. And don't send me any PMs....not even one.

What part of it wasn't clear to you?

The part where you were admitted ignoring my posts and thus were admittedly ignorant to what was going on.   BFM, your problem with me started two seasons ago when you and Pitts were in the midst of a war.  Some pretty vicious insults started flying.  I tried to smooth things over by saying, "Pitts, you're my boy, but... this is getting a bit out of hand"...   In actuality, I was trying to defend you, because Pitts had just flung some pretty harsh stuff your way.    You hyperfocused on me calling Pitts "my boy" and I was essentially dead to you.   It's been an up hill climb with you since.  As you are now admitting that you ignore a lot of what is being said in these threads, I can only assume that a lot of what I message you is lost in translation as well.

Also, you might remember that you essentially quit the league two seasons ago over the drama and there's a clear reason why Pitts took a vow of silence for the entirety of last year.   He saw what I'm too stupid to see... some of the members of this league are tough to get along and I'd probably be better off if I just stopped making public comments.

Sometimes LB33, whether or not you are right or not, it's just best to let things go and talk only on basketball. This back and forth just ends up keeping the focus on these negative issues and in general irks most GMs to the point that they check out mentally.

Uh, no. This is you playing detective again. Keep assuming. Almost everyone in this league has some sort of bias against you if we go by your explanation of everything.

I don't have the energy or the time to go back and forth with you anymore. Let's just both pretend that we don't have access to emails or PMs.

Have a good one!

Harry,

I'm totally on board to stop with the riff raff and focus on basketball.  I thought i made it clear a couple days ago that I was shutting down the flutter feed and tightening it up.  The vast majority of the stuff I post in these threads are intended as a joke.  I'm posting in-character as the GM of the Bellevue Leprechauns.  I'm doing it for my own enjoyment and in a (probably) misguided attempt at making this league a little more interesting and entertaining.

Aside from a few bad eggs, I'm still able to have productive private conversations with at least 15 other people in this league.  Many of you have given me the advice to just shut up and let this die down.   There's a couple things that I'm kind of on edge with, though.

#1 - The attacks on me got personal.   I have since found out who was responsible for those personal attacks.  I've tried to nip it in the bud privately.

#2 - The bandwagon bullying got out of hand.  The "LarBrd33 is the worst... he lowballs... yadda yadda"... It's at least partially motivated by personal agendas.  My fantasy team is starting to look like a threat.  I have pretty clearly the best young assets in this league and there's a few star players hitting the market.  Any way to sway public opinion against LarBrd33 and prevent people from trading with him is a bonus.  And I know for a fact this kind of behavior happens, because the very first thing I was told when I was recruited was, "Don't trade with Pitts or Utah... they rape everyone constantly".

I tried to divert attention away from this riff raff.  Hence my stupid videos I made... I'm trying to keep things lighthearted:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdwdtCjvj_k

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjZkSLgDrCo

I thought we could move past this.  I attempted to smooth things over with a couple members of the league who had the wrong impression of me.  Hence why I messaged BFM some info after he publicly attacked me last week.   So then moving on, I send BFM a reasonable trade request.  There was no underlying evil motive involved.  It's a fantasy basketball league... let's talk about fantasy basketball.  I send him an offer and instead of responding to me privately, he comes on here to once again perpetuate the hate train.   I took offense to it... especially considering the efforts I've made to make peace with BFM for over a year.    It was really unnecessary to once again throw up some stuff out of context.
