Just another reason to hate LA..(even though it might not be their fault, but I'm just going to blame them anyways)

i guess nets doesn't have the assets (picks+lopez?)... maybe they were after nene to filp him to orlando?

It was rumoured that they had offered two first round picks besides Morrow and Lopez. Was that wrong?

I'd heard that as well.  I think they own a Houston pick and all of their own picks going forward.

Yeah, its Houston's first rounder (top 14 protected through 2016) but Detroit holds Houston's second (top 40 protected in 2012, top 35 protected in 2013-'14). I doubt that second pick means much to Orlando.

Still, Lopez + Morrow + Houston's #1 + Nets #1 is a good offer for Dwight. Better than Bynum and the scrubs LA will try to unload.

Don't know why Celtics can't get into these talks.

Rondo + Green + JJJ + Clippers 2012 first-rounder  + Celtics 2013 first-rounder.

That's a better deal than the Nets one (Rondo better than Lopez, Clips pick should be better than Houston's or New Jersey's) or anything the Lakers would be able to come up with.

The CP3 saga is playing out in front of us...in the end, it doesn't matter what we can offer. If Howard doesn't want to play in Boston, he will walk away after the season. Boston is not on his list from all the rumours I've read.

I don't think that's a good enough reason. You think CP3 is going to sign an extension after the trade to LA is approved? Of course not. He is due to make significantly more money by opting out and resigning with the team. Same goes for Howard. He's not signing now regardless of where he goes.

Does that mean he would definitely stay? No, but we would have quite an advantage in resigning him or doing a mega S&T. But with West and Pierce and probably cap space to bring in a very good PG, it's not as ugly a situation as some make it out to be. I could see him loving Doc and the city.

I really want this to happen.  Howard + Deron would be interesting to watch, and the Nets aren't Satan incarnate.

exactly.  would it prevent the celtics from contending for the next 5+ years?  perhaps.  a team with deron, dwight, and lots of money would be hard to beat.  i think even the heat might not be able to deal with them, as long as the nets have good wing defenders.

but id much rather see the newly christened Brooklyn Nets forge a dynasty than the Lakers get yet another one.

Ditto. I like your guys kindly thoughts on a competitor.
And won't it be the Brooklyn Knights (not Nets)?

Boston-NO deal for David West still on hold, sources say. Waiting on NBA. C's rookies, JaJuan Johnson and E'Twan Moore discussed in deal.

This makes a little more sense and gives the hornets something to keep. Also no need for JJJ if we land West.

@WojYahooNBA

Happy to have West join the C's but ill be sad to see JJJ go. I was looking forward to watchin the kid play. He had a nice skillset.

Really don't want to part with JaJuan.

He may not be that great, but I like his potential.

This make sense, i'd like to keep JJJ but at least we need a center, so i hope JO stays

What?

Now the C's are thinking about sending out Trey J?

As much as I think we need a center, I would rather ship ou JO.

Besides, how is the money going to work with JO's contract?

They are obviously going to send both.

I'm on board with this thinking too.  As anxious/excited as I am about the West trade the prospect of the Lakers getting CP3 and Howard is providing steady bouts of panic.  The Lakers gave to get in the CP3 deal and did take some risk.  I think they are beatable with Kobe, CP and Bynum depending on who they are able to add.  If they get Dwight, that's lights out for a decade. I can't cope with that.

Ya, good way to look at it. Its true between KG, West, and also Bass we pretty much have that PF spot locked up. Kid wouldn't get much time anyways.

And we really need a true C going forward. Even though in my eyes JO is made of glass he will be healthy to at least start the season and he's pretty skilled compared to what else you have out there.
