Fun stat / image. Impressive achievements by Steph & Klay.

Man, Peja Stojakovic is a name I haven't heard in a minute.  That dude would eat in the modern NBA.

Think of it this way.  Would you rather have 23 year old Wiseman or 24 year old Scheierman?  Who do you think has more upside?

Last season in DET, 63 games, 17.1 minutes, about 7 points, 5 rebs, 0.6 blocks.  That is a pretty good floor for a player you can think of as a late round draft pick.  Will Scheierman come even close to that production next season?

I don't know what happened to Wiseman.  I know he was injured for a whole season.  But I remember seeing him play his rookie season on GSW and he looked pretty good to me.  I have not seen him play much since then.

Scheierman, and honestly its not even close. You can never have enough wings, especially ones that have a chance of being a decent rotation player. Meanwhile Wiseman is a center that two separate franchises have decided to let go. He's just not that good.

We'll see.  It is true that Wiseman has been let go by 2 teams but I expect he will contribute more to IND next season than Scheierman will to BOS.  At worst, he is a big who can give you 7-8 points and 5-6 rebs off the bench.  He has shown that over the last few seasons, he has a known NBA floor.  I don't expect that at age 23, he has reached his ceiling.  It is a risk for IND but a good one I think.

As to Scheierman, who knows.  Seems like a good prospect but he may not be any better than Payton Pritchard or Hauser, or maybe kind of a combination of the two.  He is the same age as Wiseman but never has played in the NBA.  You don't know his NBA floor or his ceiling.  With Wiseman, at least you know his current floor.

Free agent F/C Moe Wagner is returning to the Orlando Magic on a two-year, $22 million deal, sources tell ESPN. Wagner averaged 10.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 80 games for the Eastern Conference?s fifth seed.

Its not so much about who is better as it is about the fact that Shceierman simply plays a more valuable position. You can find quite a few rim rim running type centers who can give you most of what Wiseman will give you, they literally go for the minimum. I'm not sure what Scheierman will be next year, but if he's a good shooter who holds up on defense over the course of his cheap 4 year rookie deal then I think you'd rather have that than Wiseman.

Wagner and Bitadze both back to Orlando on three year deals. Wonder if the Magic will look into shopping WCJ.

We?d have been priced out of him by now, but as the Mo Wagner champion when he was here, I do think he was unfairly thrown under the bus by management after a terrible 6 minutes in the Lakers game.  That was a lost season and cutting him to set an example three weeks after he?d been here when everyone else had been screwing off for months was tacky and shortsighted.

I liked Mo as well and also liked Kornet but we let both go... Wasn't there even a third big that we just let go? Maybe Theis?

We traded Theis for Wagner and Kornet, so sort of.  Unless you?re thinking of Tacko!

Monte Morris signed 1yr vet minimum for Phoenix.

So Phoenix have added Monte Morris & Mason Plumlee & re-signed Royce O'Neale. So they have their top 8 locked up. Also re-signed Bol Bol.

G: Bradley Beal, Monte Morris
G: Grayson Allen
F: Devin Booker, Royce O'Neale
F: Kevin Durant, Bol Bol
C: Josuf Nurkic, Mason Plumlee

It doesn't look appreciatably better than last year's squad. Just changing the deck chairs around. Eric Gordon for Monte Morris. Drew Eubanks for Mason Plumlee.

Still waiting on Josh Okogie and whether he returns or not. He was a good bench player for them last year.

Monte Morris is a disappointment at PG. He is not good enough to start. Looks like PHX will be locked in to the 2 SG backcourt or really the 3 SG perimeter trio. Monte Morris as bench PG.

Anyone else concerned by how ball-dominant each of the Pelicans star players are?

- Dejounte Murray
- Zion Williamson
- Brandon Ingram

All three of those guys want the offense to run around them with the ball in their hands working the PnR. Murray feels too high usage to get the most out of Zion & Ingram.

Then there is CJ McCollum. He has the best mix of on-ball and off-ball but he still uses a lot of on-ball creation himself.

There is only one ball.

I'd do this:

Lakers receive:  Brandon Ingram (resigned, new deal), Jose Alvarado

Pelicans receive: D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and Dalton Knecht

While it's true that LeBron is ball dominant too, at least it's just him.

Pelicans do this why? The high comedy of starting cj McCollum and Russel and losing every game?
