Who are top names that still may be traded?

Lavine, Derozan, Jerami Grant, Markkanen?  Seems like they are all linked to California teams LAL, LAC, SAC, even GS. Will be interested to see where they end up. Or if someone like the Rockets or Spurs get involved.

Does Kuzma get traded or Brandon Ingram?  I thought Ingram might go to Cleveland for Garland but they went after Dejounte Murray instead.

Those might be the ones now but you never know who could become available near the trade deadline.

Lebron 2 years 104 million.

I thought he was taking a pay cut? Does that mean the Lakers can't get anybody?
Worth over a billion bucks & wont take a cut to get more better players in, shows u what type of player & person he is

I think the pay cut would only help with signing free agents.  They seem to have moved on to trades so accepting less wouldn't really make any sense if you're Lebron.
I read Lebron was willing to drop down to 30M per year for certain free agents.  Klay and two others were mentioned.  DeRozan was not.

Anyone who would be signed could have only come for the MLE, and DeRozan isn?t interested in that amount.

Yeah, they never realistically had a shot at Derozan

Sign and trade still on the table

Only sort of.  They would have to send out more than $12 million more than they take back.  So say DeRozan is willing to sign for $23 million; they would have to send out Russell and Rui for $35 million.  But Chicago can?t take back $35 million, because that puts them over the second spring, never mind the tax (which they also don?t want to exceed).  So it would need to be a 3-way trade with Utah, who might have enough room outright, or Detroit, which would have to send a smaller salary to Chicago (Utah also might need to do this).

Not technically impossible, but costly (draft picks will absolutely be required to multiple teams), and that?s pretty much it for the Lakers options to get DeRozan.  More likely they will trade for someone already under contract, because then they can aggregate contracts up to the second apron, not the first.

Spurs have been linked with Markkanen as well.

They want to create a new twin towers of Markkanen & Wemby.

It doesn't seem like there are any teams left that are going to be able to offer big contracts.  Someone is going to need to do a sign and trade or DeRozan may have to go back to CHI.  Maybe he will join Tobias Harris in DET.

ORL is a team I have been keeping an eye on.  They have 13 players signed, plus a first round pick to be signed, taking them to 14.  They have cap holds for Fultz and Joe Ingles, among others.  Could Ingles be that wing/swing forward to replace Brissett?  Not sure how good he has been lately, is he any better than Brissett?

Gabe Vincent is being menionted as a possible cap dump as well. That would leave Bronny as their only small guard off the bench. And their only small defensive guard on their entire roster.

Heat bring back Thomas Bryant (min contract).

Heat beat writer Ira Winderman believes this means Orlando Robinson won't be returning.

Heat choosing Thomas Bryant over Orlando Robinson (and limited center market) isn't that surprising. Bryant won the third center job over Orlando by the end of the season. Robinson likely waived before July 15 guarantee date.

Just heard Thomas Bryant is resigning with the Heat.

I wonder if that means Orlando Robinson could be available. He killed the Celtics in summer league last year and has shown some promise during the season.

George is the first max-level player to change teams via free agency since 2019.

Wow, 5 years since the last max player to switch teams. I did not realize that.

Damion Lee back to Phoenix on the minimum.

I would have liked him as a replacement for Svi.
