Funny how some here are happy Danny won another deal.....yeah let’s have the ring ceremony...oh wait there no chip for winning trades.

You must give something to get something, if you are winning deals you may want to make sure the other team does not know something you don’t know.

It's a good move, nobody said it's going to make them title contenders.

I must be in the minority but it definitely closes the gap and puts the C's back in the top 4 in the east with Philly, Mil and Brooklyn.  They definitely are not as good but if Brown and Tatum take another incremental step forward they do become as good.  Bench scoring and rebounding need addressed and Fournier was a huge step in that regards.  The buyout market should allow the C's to add another piece.  As we know anything can happen in the playoffs and Fournier should help tremendously with those droughts the C's seem to go on.  One more shooter would be fantastic though.

At the moment Danny has his cake and is eating too. He made a trade but can still “like our guys” since he hasn’t moved any of them.

Fournier isn't my favorite move, but if we can get Otto Porter Jr. via the buyout market, we could have a roster that actually functions.

He's got to move someone because Fournier needs a place on the roster.

Why would he come here instead of one of the LA teams or the Nets or Philly who could all use him? Better teams can make better cases to him. I'm not expecting anything on the buyout market.

I think he could start here, personally.  Walker, Brown, Tatum, Porter, Theis, with Smart and Fournier off the bench.

Why are people acting like we don't have two of the youngest superstars in the league on our team.  It's the reason why Giannis contacted Tatum.  It's why Blake was considering the C's.  It's why other players will want to come here.  The contenders only have so many roster spots and PT.  Do you want to sit on the bench, waive a towel and potentially collect a ring or go to the C's, contend, play and contribute towards a potential ring.  The C's have been in the ECF 3 of 4 years.  This is why a player via buyout will come here over other teams.  [dang] people.  Cheer up a bit.

Much better team than the current team.

Why are people acting like we're not two games below .500? Sure, he could come here and get playing time. But any other play-in team can pitch him the same thing. He's leaving a similar situation in Chicago, there will be better teams after him.

Those young stars are the problem. They have driven a couple or more vets AWAY. Word gets around. They have to repair their image, they have to make vets want to go play with them. Great players like KG, PP, RA had to recruit vets to play with them. The young celts must work extra hard to convince players to join them.

This was a great move. Considering what little they had to give up, I’d rather have him over Gordon. Gordon’s a very average shooter. C’s have enough of those. Hopefully this means Marcus Smarts shot attempts go down, especially at the end of games.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Fantastic move, imo.  Costs us almost nothing, keeps our 1st, and plugs a big hole off the bench.

Once EF is comfortable, I'd put him starting with JB & JT, and bring Marcus off the bench.

JMO, I think that using that much of the TPE means the Celts at least hope to resign him.

Did we all miss the “instant contender” trade?

Where's the evidence to support this statement?
