Agree 100%.  I'll be crushed if he goes to the lakers next week.  If he goes to another team other than the lakers I'd be disappointed but feel good going forward with what we have (though some adjustment will be needed as the makeup of teams between youngs and vets who deserve minutes is not optimal).  If he goes to the lakers a year and half from now?  So be it.  Lebron will be 36 that year.

I won't be crushed. I like the young pieces and picks. Biggest concern is if Kyrie stays or goes...if he walks...so be it. Resign rozier as the starting PG and lets go forward.

More about him being on the lakers starting next week rather than the Celtics not getting him is why I'd be crushed.

He's going to be in the Hall of Fame.  You can bank on that.  Now the real question is how high he will get on the echelon but his base right now is HOFer.

The standards of the hall of fame have not dropped so low that davis is a lock for them at this point in time.

Why?

Cause players thay demand to be traded and potentially sitting out have big trade market?

Look at kawhi. Demar, poeltl and a 1st.

Kawhi is a bonafide nba mvp, defensive player of the year, champion who has proven to elevate a team by himself.

Imo Davis' value is not higher than Kawhis was...and Kawhi returned nothing close to what is being offered by people on here

One way to get Pelicans to start sweating a little is for AD to start playing

Not only is there a chance of injury but also  doesn't improve Pelicans chance for the 2019 draft

Lebron and Paul is probably going to advise AD to start playing as soon as he can (as long as the Pelicans keep ignoring Pelinka)

In this case I don't think the PElicans can tell him so sit down and not play for the rest of the season when he is capable to

Healthy players have no say in whether they can play or not. Davis could desperately want to play but if the team doesn't want him playing, he won't play.

Silver's rant about sitting star players for rest why traveling has nothing to do with a team sitting a star player over internal grievances with said player. Demps and Gentry control whether Davis ever plays again in NOLA, not Davis.

If his career ended today, I think he’d get in. He might not make it on the first ballot, but then again he might.

One report leaked of LA offering Lonzo, Kuzma, Ingram, Zubac, and a 1st. Well, at least got to give LA credit - if this is true they’re not messing around about doing all they can to get him before the deadline.

Still, though, this is a quantity for quality trade, and Boston can significantly swamp the quality of this trade.

You beat me ,  i just read this >. we knew this was coming down the pike .....All four young Lakers and their  1 st ......its a desperation offer ....LeWhine is pounding his fist on the table.   If he was the greatest player , he could use these four studs ,  he beat GS silly with them , what is he afraid of ...looking bad ....Poor LeBummer .

If Im NO .....Im not rebuilding the Lakers for the next decade and let that be MY legacy and association with A Davis .

None of those guys is HOF material ,  all quality assets , but not super stars in the making . 

Tatum ...IS THE player , at least my eyes tell me can be a top 10 player and All Star.  He is the whole NBA package .

If Im NO ....I want a guy like Brown or Tatum and Draft picks ...to get my chances at the Hotest Young players coming out of college.

This offer is desperate attempt .....I think any players they land , if they don't get AD .....is Butler and Beal variety at best .

This won't especially suit his royal Bum

Not a good one. I don't see a future, more-than-one-time, All-Star in the bunch. It's screaming how Boston was for years. Awesome team to have if they are surrounding 2-3 stars, otherwise, welcome to mediocrity and late lottery hell.
