And this is also presuming that GS doesn't offer Klay the full max. It'd be crazy to think that a hypothetical starting like up could be:MLE CentreDavisJamesThompsonRondoYou'd have to think the addition by subtraction of Thompson plus Davis would make the Lakers the favourites for the title.we really should have kept rondo for lifehis game has aged fairly well. And he plays great with elite playersI think the main reason he didn't get along with Stevens was the losses. But losses come with any rebuilding team

It just makes no sense for NOLA to allow him to execute a trade of such magnitude when it's clear his days there are numbered.
Scott Kushner: Anthony Davis is expected to address the media in New Orleans tomorrow afternoon. It will be his first comments since requesting a trade.
Also, here's a question. Since we can't trade for Davis until after the draft, but say we came to an agreement prior and drafted the players they wanted, would those drafted players' salaries count towards matching purposes now that they are no longer draft picks? If so, that could mean we could possibly keep Smart, correct?
Tatum: $7.8 million11th: $2.8 million15th: $2.3 million20th: $1.8 million25th: $1.5 millionTotal: $8.4 millionCombined, that's $16.4 million.Throw in Yabu. That's another $3.1 million. So, $19.5 million. Throw in Williams. That gets us to $21.4 million. So, with some variance on the draft picks, we can probably get to where we need to be [$21.6 million]
Looking at his transaction history, the man loves three-way trades:https://www.basketball-reference.com/executives/dempsde01x.htmlHe's done eight trades with 3+ teams since 2010, plus the voided CP3-Lakers-Rockets deal.

If so, that could mean we could possibly keep Smart, correct? They can’t be traded until 30 days after they sign their contract, but otherwise yes.We may have as few as two first rounders (and as many as four) so the projected outgoing salary varies wildly. In terms of how those salaries could factor in, here’s a post I made awhile ago, with some pick projections that are currently out of date:QuoteTatum: $7.8 million11th: $2.8 million15th: $2.3 million20th: $1.8 million25th: $1.5 millionTotal: $8.4 millionCombined, that's $16.4 million.Throw in Yabu. But, that’s very unlikely.
