Jokic is the dream for me. Finishes his career in Boston, ages gracefully with Tatum and PG. Next in line would be Kawhi, don?t think this is too realistic since he saw a pretty set piece n staying in Toronto this time but Kawhi probably has my favorite mix of offensive and defensive tool kit.

In terms of younger players, Jaylen Suggs, AJ Dybantsa, and Evan Mobley. Caleb Wilson looks pretty nasty as well.

Honorable mention to Ben Simmons, the injury is a tragedy but I?d love to see him play with Tatum some day.

Tied for 1st place in the East? Yeah, who wants that.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I mean dream would be someone like Flagg or Jokic

Someone a bit more realistic for me would be Zion Williamson. Yes, some flaws and obvious concerns in terms of durability and commitment, but if he can stay committed and stay healthy most of this year and the Pels decide to move on I would really consider it still. The talent is there and he's still young, and he'd provide unique skillsets that this team hasn't had for a while.

Really comes down to whether you feel he's worth shipping out $42m of salary to get him, given he is an expiring after next season and could walk if you don't extend him.

To do that without sending out Tatum or PG13 (I doubt they would take PG13 even if he is also an expiring next year) we would have to send out White and Hauser which would be $41m and then add a vet min to fill. Then we would have a year (or more, if you did a mid season trade) to figure out what we would be willing to offer him, given he will be a free agent end of next season. If he declines our (reduced) offer because someone decides to pay him more then his $44m comes off the books after he finishes with us in 2028-29. In 2028-29 we have an active cap (excluding cap holds) of $183.2m vs a cap of $184.6m, so we would free up approx. $44m to spend on a free agent, assuming we haven't already extended anyone in our own team.

That's basically the salary cap math involving Zion. His 2027-28 salary is not guaranteed until he meets his playing time and weight clauses which any team that is interested in him will know by the end of 2026-27.

If the Cans have just had enough of him, they would absolutely consider something like Hugo and PG plus two first rounders...

To me perfect addition is perfect fit skill wise. So what is the team lacking. JT has show over the years, and confirmed in 4 games this year as the man that he can be a scorer and facilitator with above average d and rebounding. He has started the year down some on rebounding and shooting percentages, but some of that will even out I'm sure. They are weakest at big still in my mind. Jokic and wemby are the big names that have the best skill set fits, but wemby is likely the most untouchable man in the league, and jokic will slowly become less effective as he ages. Bam is another good name but is showing cracks this year next to giannis.  He is likely overpaid. Giannis is another, but I dont like his fit as much. Poor outside shot and needs the ball alot to be effective. We just got rid of one of those, and his outside shot was better. Zion can't stay on the court. Robert is too limited on O. They need a D first, rebound second, o third kind of big, but not deficient in any of the 3.

I do!

Last year we were the 2nd seed and that did not end up well in the playoffs  :(
