Second source confirms #Celtics, #Clippers' progress… Eric Bledsoe not in it. Neither is Paul Pierce. LAC would wait for C's to buy him out

I assume they're taking on a contract or two and then we assure them Pierce is getting bought out so they can have wink and nod deal to sign him.

If his back is all better he's probably better than Bass. I think he is. That's just me though.

Just woke up from a nap. So Pierce may or not may not be in the deal. No Bledose, but Butler might be in it. And SAS talked about Griffin today?

Yes I think he has the talent to be a starting level PF. I don't expect him to be an all-star, but definitely starting material (if his back holds up)

I also don't think he's undersized, since when is 6' 9" in shoes with his length, reach, and weight undersized? Teams typically don't have 7 footers at both big man slots, never have and never will.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
If we're not getting Bledsoe what's the point then?
"I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies and hypotheses
Can't define how I be dropping these mockeries."

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?
It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Not that it really matters but I'd love to see the overlap between the people bemoaning this deal now and the people making "blow it up" threads for the last 4 years.  Be careful what you wish for.

I just wanted to chime in here -- I'm one of the people who have advocated blowing it up, and I think this potential deal is both ugly and necessary.

This process isn't pretty, or enjoyable.  And this upcoming season is probably going to be tough to watch at times.

But this is what has to happen.  Just the way of things in the NBA, unfortunately.

See I can respect that.  I've never been a "blow it up" guy and it'll be sad to see KG and Pierce go if it does go down that way.  But if we're going to rebuild, this is probably the best route available at this point.

If we can get:

DeAndre Jordan
A couple first round picks
Another asset - even if it's not Bledsoe

and then the trade somehow helps us clear enough cap space of allows us to make a trade than then leands us Josh Smith (Who wants to play in Boston)

Then we will basically be rebuilt - in a week

Jordan / Free agent / Melo
Josh Smith / Sullinger
Jeff Green / Caron Butler
Bradley / Lee
Rondo / TWill - another point...

* All we'd need is a real sharp shooter at the two - and a coupel vet scorers off the bench.
