since when is Sullinger undersized at PF?

you think Sully is a starting PF in the NBA? He struggled throughout college playing guys his size or bigger
Yes I think he has the talent to be a starting level PF. I don't expect him to be an all-star, but definitely starting material (if his back holds up)

I also don't think he's undersized, since when is 6' 9" in shoes with his length, reach, and weight undersized? Teams typically don't have 7 footers at both big man slots, never have and never will.

i have season tickets to osu basketball. I have watched him struggle with guys his size. Don't get me wrong...i love sully...think he works hard and is a smart basketball player. I hope he works out and would go with him over bass everyday of the week. I just don't know how much they are going to get out of him.

hope the back issue is resolved for the better.

If we can get:

DeAndre Jordan
A couple first round picks
Another asset - even if it's not Bledsoe

and then the trade somehow helps us clear enough cap space of allows us to make a trade than then leands us Josh Smith (Who wants to play in Boston)

Then we will basically be rebuilt - in a week

Jordan / Free agent / Melo
Josh Smith / Sullinger
Jeff Green / Caron Butler
Bradley / Lee
Rondo / TWill - another point...

* All we'd need is a real sharp shooter at the two - and a coupel vet scorers off the bench.
Honestly, how good do people think that lineup would be? I say 5 seed in the East tops.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

C's-Clips still trying, but talks have slowed down at this hour. Teams going about draft business, but keeping phones handy.

If we can even get there! Even with this deal we don't have the cap space to sign Josh Smith outright. We'd need to dump one or two of Lee, Bass, Terry.

If we're not getting Bledsoe what's the point then?

The point would be more flexibility.  It sounds like you can only trade Garnett to the Clippers.  The Clippers aren't going to give back pieces that make the Celtics better.   You can trade the players you get back for Garnett to teams that are not the Clippers.

Even if you think this deal is crap, you have to agree -- the biggest disaster at this point would be if the two sides walk away permanently.

Then the Celtics are basically left fumbling for some other option.

No way Doc Rivers comes back to coach this team, or that KG and Pierce are back next season.

This deal is now the best chance the Celtics have of getting anything in return for these guys.  If it falls apart, we could see everybody go their separate ways, leaving the Celtics holding nothing but what they have right now (which is to say, a lot of junk).

i think the idea boston is going to get josh smith is a pipe dream. And i also think people are overvaluing what the can get on the market with what the clippers send over.

honestly..i prefer that...at least they would have a chance to get a dynamic young player in the lottery.

I don't want to watch a team struggle to be the 8 seed and get swept by miami over and over again.

Just like I thought...deal is just jordan and picks...maybe one pick and a low one:

Mark Heisler ‏@MarkHeisler 1m
Details emerge on trade talks for KG (and whether he's in it or just cut loose, Doc): #Clippers offer DeAndre + No. 1. #Celtics want 2 1s.
Expand

Not happy with this, we either need to get Bledsoe or unload some long term contracts for Butler. If we get neither this will be a loss.

Since they apparently have all the leverage, I doubt we get either now.
