RT @MarkHeisler: This just in: Truth is in the proposal they're working on w/KG. May mean #Celtics take Caron w/1 year at $8M, plus whoever else

Pierce and Garnett combine for $27 million on the books. Unless it's another "agreement to release", I can't see enough salary coming back.

Unless, of course, it's Pierce + Garnett for Jordan, Griffin, and Butler, but that's just a pipe dream.

Shhhh. You'll jinx it.
Hey, I'll throw in Sullinger, too, if that's going to make it happen.

You can't do that...he's our late-game free throw specialist!!
Nah, that's DJ. We only want to win .400 of our games anyhow :P

it is going to be Jordan and the clippers pick this year and next in the first round...which both will be low and have no impact on rebuilding

just hire del negro and really ramrod the fans danny

Welcome to a decade of irrelevancy.

Horrible, horrible trade.

Or we can always let them walk away and get absolutely nothing back which makes the Celtics super irrelevant in the next decade!

Jordan and a couple late round firsts is basically nothing.  I'd argue the results would be approximately the same.

Even with his obvious flaws, Jordan is still better than any center not named Shaq that we've had since Perk got injured. Unless you count Garnett as C, that is.

Ha Ha Ha...good thinking...then maybe we can draft Wiggins!!
If that's the case, let's keep Rondo and DJ on the court for late game situations!!

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Not that it really matters but I'd love to see the overlap between the people bemoaning this deal now and the people making "blow it up" threads for the last 4 years.  Be careful what you wish for.

Add a first rounder on that and we are all good. Danny want's a King's Ransom right, then that has to be the deal.

If we left Bledsoe and Pierce out from each side I think this is a deal I'd be ok with (and by ok, I mean I'd only shed a couple tears.)

Garnett/Bass/Terry for Jordan/Butler/Green/1st round picks
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

no point in taking jamaal crawford when you have 2 of him on your team already in jordan and terry...

If this is for butler, jordan and 2 low first round picks....what a HORRIBLE deal for boston.  Nobody wants butler, nor jordan
