Horford had a similarly productive season in '12 to that of '11, so sounds about right.  Wait...

This might be a reach, but after Pau and Aldridge got taken I felt I have to take him now.

With the 24th overall pick in the 2012 CB Draft. Cleveland selects...

Greg Monroe (who I'll move at the PF spot)

Greg Monroe is sneaky good. Maybe not 1st round, although maybe this is right where he should be picked.

Also, if the trade winds are blowing correctly, I really like that two man foundation you've got, Yoki.

Monroe at PF, I have my doubts on that. Depends on who he's going to play with I guess.

All i know is he looked good in the Bos-Atl playoff series... to the point that if he'd been there and been healthy I was legitimately concerned about moving on.

He was billed as a PF coming in. He's fairly quick. I believe he can play the 4. Yes, provided who he gets paired with is the key. Chances are he plays Center though.

That said, Carmelo has been a huge disappointment in NY, failing to mesh.

That's why he's not a Chicago Bull right now either. Didn't think Wade-Melo was a pairing I liked, whereas Irving is a high-character guy who won't step on Wade's toes.

They've paired pretty well in Team USA basketball (albeit with tons of other stars).  I think that would be a pretty dynamic pair actually and Melo could really use a player that he perceives as on/above his level to push him to his potential.
Yeah, I'd tend towards that viewpoint as well.

I think they'd be an overpowering force on the wings. Not to same extent as LeBron/Wade but they'd really be something special. Very difficult to matchup against two such physically powerful and highly skilled wings. To put togeter a defense that is capable of handing that force coming at them over and over.

It'd work the other way too on the defensive end. Two such physically powerful and explosive athletes manning the wings. And on the boards too - give you a large advantage in rebounding differential at the wing positions. Nice foundation to add too later.

I don't think they're being given enough credit for just how physically imposing they'd be as a wing combination. Overpowering.

I think this is the year we'll see what John Wall is all about, for better or worse.

Really depends on who you put around him.  Didn't really improve last season.  Stating facts more than giving my thoughts here... But I'm just not really sure what to think.  I don't think he's ready to make a big splash yet, but I acknowledge there's at least a 25% chance I could be completely and utterly wrong

Ha, that's funny.

Makes sense, due barely played because his pectoral muscles are made of cotton candy and fruit roll ups.

Looked pretty good when he was decimating the Celtics. Would've won the series if Boston didn't cheat.

Not sold on Monroe as a PF either. I think he is going to have change his dramatically to be effective there.

He scores in the post through his quickness and finesse at the center position. He needs to become a power-based post scorer to score at PF because that quickness advantage is going to disappear.

Maybe Monroe is able to do that. Maybe he isn't. I don't know. Not convinced either way.

It's a major question mark in my eyes though ... for Detroit going forward with Monroe + Drummond. I think the Pistons are banking on something which isn't a given. That Monroe can be as effective at PF as he can be at C.
