But what about the Drake - Weezy fight, you guys? What about THAT?!

all our team will be required to either (a) stay at home like our loser GM or (b) wear Kurt Rambis goggles 24/7.... them's the breaks

Everyone involved. A question

I get the 1st pick of the 2nd round tomorrow. Any chance I can pick this along with my 1.24 today.

I know it's a really huge request, but it'll really help me some time.

Only if it's okay?

Send the pick to someone to make in the morning. You're first so you'll get your guy, and then we don't need to go down the slippery slope where people are basically making picks whenever (which is what will happen, I promise you)

Traditionally, picks haven't been allowed to be made early.  I'd say that if you're jammed up, just send your pick to wdleehi or somebody else, and have them pick for you.

I believe the precednet has been that you can give someone the list but that the Commish prefers not to open the next round until either that morning or sometimes 8pm the night before...

EDIT: Guess I should turn back on that warning "Someone has posted while you were typing" that way i wouldn't say the same thing 2 other smarter, better GMs have said.... :p

Kyrie Irving. I pick Kyrie Irving. And I suck.
I don't love this pick, not with Wade already on board.

Wade plays the Lebron role, and Irving plays the Wade role.  It will work out.

More like Wade plays the LeBron role and Irving plays the (Cavs PG) role.

Only Irving won't choke in the playoffs when faced up against top defensive players / teams.

I think Irving is much better than (Cavs former PG).  I think he and Wade would share primary ball-handling duties and would be perhaps the most dynamic backcourt in the NBA.

In terms of style of play, I think they are similar. In terms of how that partnership will work. How they will function alongside one another.

The explosive shot-making of Irving / Cavs PG vs the slashing (dodgy spot up shooting) of Wade / LeBron.

Wade/LeBron also has a multi-dimensional game (high level defender, possession creator and playmaker in addition to their prolific scoring) .... whereas Irving, in these early stages of his young career, is more of a pure scorer who struggles in the non-scoring departments (defense, knowing how to run an offense, playmaking).

-------------------------------------------------

I think Wade and Kyrie are a terrific fit together.

They complement one another's games extremely well.

I disagree that 'struggling' is the correct word.

At this point, I LOVE the Bynum/Durant pairing, and the Wade/Irving pairing.

Will look to see how the rest of the draft pans out.

Let's not get it twisted. Wade is no Lebron. The two guys I saw in this year's playoffs were not on the same level.

I'm partial to the Lebron/Random Second Rounder pairing, myself.  ;D
