Kyrie Irving. I pick Kyrie Irving. And I suck.

Solid.  Very solid.

I'm in complete shock.  Not at the player.  Not that it was a point guard.  But that it wasn't a particular point guard.

This could be legit one of the best backcourts the NBA has ever seen though...

With the 19th selection in the 2012 Celticsblog draft, the Miami Heat select "Big" Al Jefferson.

Too soon, imo. Better players still available.

Thanks for your input.

Haha. I joined Celticsblog right before he was traded. This was right after he had his breakout season. Never really improved into the franchise player I thought he would be.

I don't love this pick, not with Wade already on board.

Wade plays the Lebron role, and Irving plays the Wade role.  It will work out.

More like Wade plays the LeBron role and Irving plays the (Cavs PG) role.

Only Irving won't choke in the playoffs when faced up against top defensive players / teams.

I think Irving is much better than (Cavs former PG).  I think he and Wade would share primary ball-handling duties and would be perhaps the most dynamic backcourt in the NBA.

With the 20th pick the New Orleanses Bugz are happy to select

Tony Parker, PG

That's a pick, for sure.

Very, very nice pick Gaines...

I was crossing fingers that he still drops to me at 24. Love the pick... He had a near MVP season. A steal in my opinion.

That was my vision as well. Both Wade and Irving can initiate and facilitate the offense, both guys can take over the game at will. And, because of the age difference, and skillsets, I think Irving will mesh well with Wade chemistry wise.

Everyone involved. A question

I get the 1st pick of the 2nd round tomorrow. Any chance I can pick this along with my 1.24 today.

I know it's a really huge request, but it'll really help me some time.

Only if it's okay?

Honestly, I'm a bit shocked that Kevin Durant was traded.........

WOW.

I guess we'll see how the rest of the draft pans out....

When was Durant traded?

Isn't Durant and Bynum on the same team, now?

Or did I mis-read something?

Why would that mean Durant was traded? Bynum was just picked by the team that had already drafted Durant. That's all that happened.

I saw references to Durant and Bynum a few pages ago...just thought that a trade or a deal was worked out.

But a GM does in fact own both Durant and Bynum now, right?

Yes

That's incredible.
