I really am not trying to come of as a Scal-hater or anything, I know it may seem that way. I think he serves a perfectly utilitarian role as the last guy on your bench. My main point is an obvious one, he's overpaid for what he actually brings to the court, and because of many other intangible factors (not least among them the color of his skin, and hair) a lot of my fellow Celtics fans have developed an attachment to him that I will never get. I don't get tied up in sentimentality, I value skills. He lacks them. He makes up for that some of that lack of skills in effort, and IQ, but not enough (for me) to justify the love he gets around here. That said, I've spoken my peace, and its really a good problem to have when you are discussing the value of the 12th person on your team.
