I think in some ways this is a case study in personality. Davis is much more "fan friendly," and I think this contributes to the fact that people are very willing to overlook the fact that:
1. He has serious weight issues
2. He is an atrocious rebounder for a 4/5
3. He shoots a terrible percentage for a 4/5 (straight %, effg%, true shooting %, whichever you choose).

his jump shot has been looking very good to me... i've always been a powe fan but this month davis has outplayed him.

I changed my mind. I would keep whichever one shoots the best FT% for this year.

BBd use the A.C. shot
as in almost clang
his shots usually are straight lines that enters with difficulty
i am not saying thats wrong as much as they keep being A.C. shots its o.ki over F.c as in full clang or Scal speciallty the S.A.B. scal air ball.

Big Fatty can sign for the Cavs or Lakers for all I care. In fact I hope he does.

Is this Dennis Callahan?  My gosh, always calling people names like a child. ::)

Who else do I call names other than this guy? Are you offended?

Callahan always calls people names, not you.  I just think this type of name calling is a bit childish, that's all.

Yeah it is, but it's also fun. I don't like him, he's big, he's fat, his nickname is Big Baby so I thought I'd change it to my liking.

Am I the only one who has noticed more muscle definition on Davis or a flatter front or his incresded elevation? Last year the kid could only dunk if he had a 15 foot running start. This year he his regularly dunking with just a quick step or so. I think he is in much better shape than when he entered the league and in even better shape than when the season began.

Add to that his hustle, ability to play both positions, his good rotational defense, his increased ability to get set to draw the charge, and the fact that his outside shot is dropping and that his total FG% over the last 26 games is over 47% and I think he's the guy the Celtics have to keep if they only keep one of the two at the end of the year. His upside is just much higher than Leon's.

You're not the only one, but some simply want to focus on his picture from draft day.

I just voted* and found it very interesting that it is tied between the two.  I think that shows the talents and the flaws of each player.

*I voted for Davis.  Although fat NBA players have a poor history of sticking for long in the league, Davis has a lot of skills, a great feel for the game and is improving in some areas (although not the physique area as most would like).  Although I love him, it seems Powe has plateaued and once he looses a little of his athleticism will be much less effective.

I'd probably be happy with either or both.  But I'd be happiest if we could somehow combine their skills while adding a couple inches.  Scientists can do that, right?

I've noticed this. But a few of his displays have left a bad taste in my mouth namely the one against LA in Boston. I'm sorry, but I don't think he's good enough to be in our rotation right now.

I reserve the right to change my mind - which has been known - even if that is unlikely.

I agree

I think Davis has looked in much better shape over the past month or two, he looks a lot fitter than he used to be.

Davis net performance has been pretty abysmal. One okay month with his J doesn't excuse his crappy rebounding, crappy shot blocking, crappy ability to get out on the break and his crappy finishing..

Powe is better but honestly neither are great shakes.
