Double double off the ... bench...  POWE!

BBD's best play against Cleveland tonight was getting himself ejected.  Play of the game.

Let me know the next time Powe drops 20 on a contender.
;D

If Powe is as good as you are describing, it seams like he should have no problem dropping 10pts 8reb in 20-24 mins regularly against the Cavs this Spring.

My biggest complaint about Davis is his rebounds. Rebounds are huge and undervalued; they mean extra offensive possessions and eliminating opposing chances. Davis had 2 rebounds in 17 minutes; this is not good and is pretty indicative of his career; he is really not a good rebounder. You really need rebounds from your PF position. I'm glad his offense is improving, but if he kept his offense the same and just really improved his rebounding he'd probably be a better player.

Leon's older than Baby and been in the league a year longer. With continued weight training and conditioning and weight loss Baby could be a pretty decent rebounder for a man with such short arms and lack of lift.

He just doesn't seem to have the rebounding knack. He plays physical and is wide so you would think Danny Fortson but what you get is more Waltah. It's kinda the same with Moore. 6'11 - good leaper - long arms. You think Garnett.. But that's not what you get.

Some guys got it - and some guys are bench players. :P

Leon camps around the basket. He will get lots of rebounds.

Davis is expanding his shooting range away from the basket. This will lower his rebound total.

Both crash the boards but Leon will get more rebounds?

Why is Big Baby such a good offensive rebounder?

By the way great game by Powe (and Davis by the way) against the Cavs last week! Powe did drop 20 on a contender!! Sweet!! Hopefully he can do it in the post season.

I need to dole out some TPs to the Powe supporters who said Powe could drop 20+ on a contender again! By the way, February voting is locked. Powe is the blog's favorite. I'm looking forward to breaking these guys down some more when they are up for free agency.

Leon got those numbers tonite, but let's be honest. He didnt do much on defense when we needed a stop or three on Haslem did he? He was clearly overmatched with J.O. as well. I do like the scoring from in the paint I must admit.

Against everybody but the superhuge centers, Leon is clearly the better player.  Baby, with his girth,  is sort of effective keeping the true giants farther out than they like to be, but there're only a couple of them in the whole league.

It's Powe.

Powe was probably a bit winded.....this has to be a career high in minutes played for a game.

Yep.  He played close to 43 minutes tonight, and it was a physical game.  His previous career high was 38:24, last year against the Knicks.  It was his first game over 30 minutes this season, and only the 7th time he's exceeded that plateau in his career.
