If I'm Milwaukee, I take that Clipper package. It's a lot better than that garbage Miami package being offered.

#5 pick man. A young prospect to start their rebuild.

Clippers get Jaylen Brown to team up with Mathurin and Kawhi? Add some pieces and make some noise in the West again.

Celtics get Giannis and Portis to contend with New York and the elites of the West

Think it's a win/win/win for all 3 teams.

Celtics need size, and don't forget, Haliburton is coming back and they have Zubac now so the Pacers will be right back up there with New York. I know the C's swept the Pacers in their last two playoff meetings but they can only sweep them so much. They'll be tough.

I have a couple of questions on this.  First, why wouldn't LAC just deal directly with MIL and have Giannis to team with Mathurin and Leonard?  That is probably a better team, more balanced.  I know the obvious answer is that Giannis doesn't want to go the LA, but this all seems like a strange fit for LAC.

And also, what else is LAC sending out the MIL.  Just a bunch of bad contracts from what I can tell,

The Bucks clearly don?t like the Heats offer. If they did, the deal would be done. Giannis is reportedly interested in signing an extension with Boston. Brad better get this trade done.

I think it is clear that the Bucks do not want the key piece from either team, and players are being shopped around to third and fourth teams to find pieces and picks the Bucks do prefer.

I also think that probably 2/3 of the league is annoyed with the Bucks because they already went through this process at the deadline, only for nothing to happen.

Right, but the Key piece the Celtics have to offer is Jaylen Brown. The Heat have Tyler Herro. No one is giving up a haul for Tyler Herro. The Celtics should be in the drivers seat.

I legitimately wonder if Milwaukee would rather keep Giannis than accept that Miami package. Unless Giannis changes his mind, I don't think he's signing an extension with Portland or Atlanta (at least he isn't promising it) so those teams wouldn't give up multiple premium assets, and if Boston doesn't get him then MIL either has to either agree to the Miami deal or keep him. Or maybe hope another team takes a gamble on him similar to Toronto in 2019 with Kawhi.

I'm sure some teams will be interested in Herro but he's also extension eligible, I believe I read he can be given an additional 3-4 years at 45M+ AAV. Sorry but that's crazy. Reaves is projected to get 5/240M from LAL and I think Reaves is better than Herro. Bucks have said they don't want to extend Herro. @Who bought up the Magic in the other thread as a potential fit and I agree, and teams like the Grizzlies are options. But again, even those teams I highly doubt would give up much for Herro besides maybe a player, salary piece and 1 FRP (or multiple seconds). Jaylen Brown and potential young players/picks from Portland/Atlanta/NOP is way more enticing in a 3-team framework

There is no way Milwaukee is keeping Giannis. I don?t think the Celtics can keep JB at this point either. If they weren?t actively shopping Brown, feel like Brad would have said so by now.

Disagree about Brad.  He has long said he does not respond to rumors because then people will look to silence as evidence in the future.  I assure you if someone started rumors about Jayson Tatum tomorrow he would also say nothing.

Yeah all these three-teamers strike me as a little odd.

It makes some sense for Atlanta and Portland because presumably Giannis wont go there and I see why Brown makes sense for them. It makes no sense to me for LAC. First, Id think Giannis WOULD go to LAC and second Brown doesnt make much sense there for me. Espeically if youre losing Garland and #5 in the deal.

I don?t understand why people think a player can?t be part of a trade rumor (even a legit one) and decide to continue to play basketball with the team that considered trading him. He?s making 60M a year - he?s somehow unable to shake off whatever blow to his pride may have occurred? You and others may know JB well enough to know he?s incapable being a good teammate after all this talk, but I don?t know him nearly well enough to know that.  He?s a mega rich 30 year old man who was considered in a trade to attain one of the five best players on the planet.  His ego can?t handle that?  Idk - I just think if a trade doesn?t pan out JB is probably enough of a grownup to give it his best effort in a Boston uniform next season.

That?s just how it works in the NBA with star players. Look at Harden, KD, Kyrie, Kawhi, AD, etc. these guys ask to be traded and they get moved. Giannis will be moved.

Regarding JB, no I don?t think his ego can take being part of trade rumors. Just like I don?t think his ego can take being a #2 option going forward after he just has his Favorite season being the #1. He does not seem willing to take a back seat anymore. I believe the Celtics need to trade him.

I think one thing is clear is that JB has been able to be part of trade rumors everywhere and still has yet to make a big public issue of that so I think his ego can take it. He may be the person that has been in the most rumors throughout his career. It is one thing i absolutely have to give him credit for so I think assuming he cannot handle it does not make any sense since we have years of evidence to the contrary.

With all that being said everyone does have a breaking point so I would not be shocked if this is the last rumor season for him to go through where he finally says enough. I do not think there is any evidence to that but would not be surprised at this point and after this many years of these rumors I have a tough time fully blaming him too.

I just think it's kind of crazy to say definitively that Jaylen can't handle being a number two when he's been a number two for every year (except last year) of the last six or that he can't handle trade rumors when he's been in trade rumors almost every year since he was drafted. These aren't hypotheticals, he's already been dealing with this stuff.

Whenever someone says "Brown wants his own team" or "Brown wants to be #1" they are speculating. He may even want those things but simply value being on a contender more. Acting like he it's a forgone conclusion that he wants to leave is silly to me.
