I am going to be real interested who Brad brings in as FA. That really is going to be the moves he makes this offseason.

I think it is the TPE rather than FA. I don't think they can get the quality the need in FA. They need another guy in that Pritchard to D White level. They aren't available for MLE money ($15mil). Using the TPE to get a $20-27mil player looks the best path forward.

Which also means giving up Hauser in order to stay below the luxury tax.

I half agree with you Who.  I think we might get a difference maker via a sign-and-trade using the TPE.

I'm pretty happy having the MLE this year.  There should be quality players available. Guys like Sexton, Simons, etc.

To me, the best approach isn't necessarily using $25 million on one player via the TPE. Rather, I think we need to spread out the money.  Even so, it's how to fill all of our holes (starter level center, rotation PG, rotation scoring guard, Hauser replacement) with the resources we have.

Agree. Think they need to come out of this with a center and some sort of combo guard.

Brian Windhorst said on ESPN this morning he was skeptical Celtics would go all-in on Giannis Antetokounmpo but they have. He said Jaylen Brown is now on the table in a potential trade. He also mentioned if they don't get giannis that brown could land somewhere else regardless

Wildhorse is the worst. Why does anyone even pay attention to the lebron fan boy? He is always last one to report on what everyone already knew was being offered for weeks now. He's like a big fat whiny baby on tv.

I mean this confirms what Stein also said. So there is smoke.

Sounds like Shams said it will be done before tomorrow and it is Boston or Miami.

If the Bucks indeed choose Boston?s offer over Miami?s, sources say now, Milwaukee ownership?s insistence on getting a bonafide star (Jaylen Brown) back for Giannis would be among the deciding factors ? as much as the Bucks want to hold two lottery picks in Tuesday?s draft.

Giannis, Portis

For

Brown, Hauser, 27, 40, 2027 1st and maybe a future swap or two, or a young player

That is my prediction.  Milwaukee can reroute Brown if they want.

I'd then go all in and use the trade exception on a stretch center and a defensive PG.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I still don't know all of the rules of the new CBA, but are we allowed to use the full TPE if it puts us above the second apron?

I would do that
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin
