I think expectations are bordering on exceeded.  Good picks on the D-line and at corner.   IDK anything about Moses as a OT but hoping its a positive.  Obviously still need a Left Tackle and #1 WR (maybe a #2 WR also).  Obviously have the draft to work with.  Good first day!

I think their remaining needs are WR, LT, one safety, and maybe another LB/DL depending on Barmore's health. WR and LT are the two biggest needs for sure, but if they can just sign Robinson ASAP and fill LT that'd be massive, and put them in an awesome spot going forward the rest of the offseason.

Moses is a solid RT, and a fine stopgap option short-term. Him, Onwenu and Wallace can man the position and hopefully Wallace can grow into our long term RT. I'm still high on Wallace, he played a great RT all of college but the Pats tried to play him LT and he also suffered some injuries so it hurt his rookie season. Hopefully we're now done with the "play this guy out of position and pray it works" tactic.

I agree with this.  After reading up on Morgan Moses, I think he is a good signing.  He is 34 but buys some time for the recent and likely future OL draft picks to develop.  If you look at what we have right now it is pretty good, albeit still incomplete:

LT:    ?
LG:   Strange
C:    Andrews (he says is will play)
RG:  Onwenu
RT:   Moses

That is 4 solid vets with one more needed.  Wallace (T) and Robinson (G) are two young OL with some promise.  Lowe is still a decent depth piece.  I suspect some OL will be drafted this year also, although maybe not at #4.

I see the trenches as vastly improved.  Andrews and Barmore are questions, of course, but the overall depth is much better, even if these two are limited or worse.  Keion White, Barmore and now Williams are a very solid front 3.  If Bentley is back (another injury question) the LB room is solid with the additions.  And the DBs are very good (Gonzalez, Duggar, Peppers, + Colton Davis).  I know that is only 10 but thing look good.  The 11th defender will vary based on down/situation but could be a LB or a DB.

I do agree that even if this all works out with the OL and the D, that at some point we will need to add to the WR group.  It is still very much in play that we could get Travis Hunter.  That would make for a very young receiver group, but I think better than people think.  It is tough for receivers when the QB is running for his life.  I think Bourne, Boutte and Douglas are better than people think.  Add Hunter to that mix and I think this is a good group, even if neither Polk or Baker develop.

Vrabel commanding these moves or what? Lots of defensive pieces coming in, great signings overall. Guess the emphasis was big when it's the battle of the trenches, shoring up the front 4 and linebacker corps. And the secondary.

Still need to continue improving the dreaded OL, and give Maye a reliable pass-catching weapon.

We may no longer be a sub 4-win team this upcoming season folks!!

I'm a fan so far. Obviously these guys aren't coming overly cheap, but adding 5 different mid-tier+ players to this roster is plugging a lot of holes.

These guys seem to fit the previous Pats mold, too: guys who maybe aren't Pro Bowl talents on a weekly basis but their strengths can hit near that ceiling when put in the right position, and collectively very good if they buy in.

Honestly, as much as I'd like a big passing game, if we can pile on Mason Graham in the draft to our defensive line, maybe grab a young running back in the mid rounds, and battle it out with so-so receivers again this year I still think it'll be a much more fun season to watch.

Hollins played under Josh McDaniels in Las Vegas. Had a top game in 2022 against Mike Vrabel/Titans -- 8 catches, 158 yards, TD.

I mean I think Mack Hollins is an entertaining guy and solid player, but not sure why we signed him. But whatever.

At this point, I really want them to make two more moves that would make this a true home run offseason before the Draft. Sign LT Cam Robinson, and bring in Cooper Kupp whatever way possible. But Robinson in particular is a no-brainer, a legit LT who I doubt will command much more than 22M a year and then most of your O-Line is set (maybe you sign another cheap guard or draft one with the 2nd round).

The word out of the combine is that alot of teams view him as a WR first. I disagree with that, but I wouldn't rule him out based on the Davis signing.

Not entirely sure of the number yet.  Pats Cap hasn't posted the updated calculation but its estimated the Pats have roughly $40-$50M of cap space left.  Still plenty of room.

I like the D moves they've made, but getting yet another No. 2/3 receiver is so yawn.

A player with that talent can?t be dismissed easily if he?s there at 4.  I think take him or trade him are the only options to maximize value at that pick.  Keeping him strengthens both sides of the ball. An additional weapon on offense and a corner to use in some rotation (or addition) with Gonzalez and Davis.  Maybe not full-time at either position at least from the start.  Let it play out where he?s more valuable.
