A couple of backup centers have agreed to 2 years, $10 million (Drummond, Eubanks).  Is Tillman going to get more or less than that?

That?s the taxpayer MLE, correct?  I think that?s around his value.  I?ve been hoping the Celtics would be able to keep him for 4 years, $22 million.

Taxpayer MLE is good marker. I'd value Tillman a bit over it. Around $7-8million a year. More like Pritchard level money. That depends on the right teams having the cap room though. He could fall back to taxpayer MLE if not.

I guess we will see what kind of market there is for Tillman.  These seem like relatively comparable guys getting about $5M per.  (TP, MLE is $5.2M).  I am not sure the Celtics will be willing to go that high for him, but that may end up being the market.

G: Jaden Ivey, Marcus Sasser
G: Cade Cunningham, Timmy Hardaway
F: Ron Holland, Fontecchio
F: Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson
C: Jalen Duren, Isaiah Stewart

I am liking Detroit's bench. I view I Stewart as high end bench player, Sasser as an above average bench player and the other three as average bench players. That is a strong bench.

Bad teams with quality benches generally move from a 20 win caliber team to a 30 win caliber team.

Denver is getting weaker....

"Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is headed to Orlando.

Caldwell-Pope and the Orlando Magic have agreed to a three-year, $66 million contract, according to The Athletic and Stadium's Shams Charania. The third year of the deal is a player option, Charania added."

Not really sure what Denver is doing. That?s a huge loss for them being their primary perimeter stopper in a starting five with three subpar defenders. Losing both Brown and KCP in consecutive summers after a title is brutal.

Even with Jokic?s greatness, they?re looking more and more like a one and done situation.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I don't think Klay helps Dallas. Just a different version of Tim Hardaway.

Apparently it was a three-team trade that sent Josh Green to the Hornets. What are the Warriors getting? TPE? Picks? Micic?

If you are Dallas, do you start Klay or bring him off the bench?

Starter

G: Kyrie
G: Klay
F: Luka
F: PJ Washington
C: Gafford

I don't know if you are going to be able to get away with three perimeter defenders as vulnerable as Kyrie, Klay and Luka. PJ Washington is the only quality perimeter defender in the lineup.

Bench

G: Kyrie, Jalen Hardy
G: Naji Marshall, Josh Green
F: Luka, Klay
F: PJ Washington, Kleber
C: Gafford, Lively

I think this lineup will be superior to the one with Klay with Naji Marshall as the starting SG replacing Derrick Jones Jr. Two defensive stoppers in Naji and PJ Washington to help protect Kyrie & Luka.

Even in terms of the bench role, I have a tough time seeing where Klay is an improvement. Josh Green is solid for them. It just feels like re-aligning the deck chairs. No real improvement.

They lack size at forward. The two starters are good but the bench is not. Kleber is more of a center nowadays. The rest are all SGs. I imagine they'll move Naji Marshall to forward whenever PJ Washington rests. Try to keep one of them on the floor as much as possible to help with rebounding. Klay is allergic to rebounds.

Ah, I don't like it. Waste of money. Wasted opportunity to improve their team.
