#Suns are trading out Chimezie Metu, Keita-Bates Diop, Jordan Goodwin and Yuta Watanabe and getting Royce O'Neale and David Roddy in return, sources have informed @azcentral. So that leaves them two roster spots open for the buyout market.

That's a good trade for the Suns.

That's the type of deal I was hoping for.  Consolidate our useless vet minimum contracts into a player or two who can contribute.  I'm surprised there are no draft picks.

From what I saw, there are 3 2nds going out for O’Neale and a pick swap going for Roddy

40 minutes to go.

I wonder if there'll be some buyout options for Boston. Gallinari reunion?

I think that is what Brad is waiting on. He created that extra roster spot and I do not think it is for Queta.

There’s been no extra roster spot created.  The Celtics have been at 14 all year long.

They threw in Lamar Stevens yesterday to keep that spot open as well as fit Tillman into TEP. When the deal was originally announced Stevens was not in it.

So yes they have had 14 all season but Brad made sure to maintain that for some reason.

Killian Hayes needs to hire a shooting coach and a defensive coach and get cracking if he ever wants to sniff the NBA again.

The reason is $$$.  They’ll fill the spot eventually, but getting Tillman and keeping Stevens would have cost about $6 million in luxury tax.  Signing a buyout guy will cost $4.5 million, or less, depending when that player is signed.

Correct. I do think Brad signs a buyout guy to fill that last spot. If not, it goes to Queta.

I think they give Queta a contract that begins next year.

That's tough. Ball is the best player on either team.

With an hour left, no moves for either Golden State or the Lakers?

The probable path for Los Angeles Lakers is standing pat at trade deadline with potential to acquire another star player in the offseason when armed with three first-round picks, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

I think that's a tell that the Lakers will indeed stand pat.

LeBron isn't getting any younger.

Nope. I do think there's a real chance he leaves this offseason. I'm not ruling out him going to New York. He did speak about thinking about playing there in the past, and it makes a lot of sense for all parties. Would only enhance his marketability as well. I know the Lakers won in 2020 (bubble title) but tbh that organization with Jeanie has not been run well since Kobe. Lebron sort of saved them for a bit. AD isn't a #1, he's not gonna lead that team after Lebron leaves/retires either.

Does Lebron care about winning another title at this point in his career? I think he's just fine being in LA on a meh team, catching Bronny's USC games, and schmoozing with Hollywood.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

How many title teams that he was on was LeBron the best player?

Ya, when you're as deep in the tax as the C's are there's big incentive to leave that 15th spot open as long as possible.

I feel like I'm missing a punchline here but... all of them?
