James gotta blame injuries

Funny, because there are some games where even in blowouts he's still out there clearly stat-padding, and IIRC there has been a few games where he puts up 40+ in a blowout but then sits out the very next game. Pretty obvious he's just chasing records at this point. Cleveland and Miami Lebron in those 2010s years would never do that and would be smarter about his own usage.

But whatever. Tbh that whole team is a mess. Westbrook will be scapegoated but the whole roster is a mess, and I include AD in that group due to his durability (or lack thereof)

Lakers toast? The Spurs are a mind blowing 16 point favorite over the blazers who have put on one of the hardest tanking displays you will ever see. The other game currently happening is an absolute joke with luminaries like Carson Edwards, Justin Anderson, Braxton Key and Isiah Livers seeing the floor.

Wait wait wait...Carson Edwards is still in the league?

Just got back in for the pistons. Think it is a 10 day.

He dished out 9 assists...

These final 3,4,5 game stretch will be interesting. We get 2 days rest and then play the Bulls and Bucks on a back to back, but the other teams’ schedules look to be even tougher, except for the Heat.

9 assists is a lot more believable for Carson than 9 points.

well he had 13 points to go along with those 9 assists and 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  Of course he shot the ball 15 times making 5.

Feel like the Clippers could be dark horse in the West if Kawhi comes back. I know that’s a big “If”, but say he does, I could totally see the LAC knocking out Phoenix or Memphis first round. A rotation of Jackson, George, Leonard, Morris, Zubac with Mann, Covington, Batum, and Powell off the bench is as talented of a team as any. Excellent coach, too.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I haven't heard a Kawhi update for a while - is there any news regarding how he is tracking?

There’s no official update that I’ve seen, but given that he has surgery for his ACL tear in mid-July, it would be shocking to see him come back in the playoffs given his last history of conservative return timelines.
