Great slate of games tonight.

- Hawks/Raptors
- Bucks/Bulls
- Spurs/Nuggets
- Sixers/Pacers
- Grizzlies/Jazz
- Lakers/Suns

I guess I ll watch Chicago vs Mil.

Nice thing is that the Celtics will be getting the Bulls on the backside of a back to back.  Conversely, though, the Bucks will be getting the Celts on the backside.

Hopefully the Bulls win tonight. If not, then I think MIL vs. Boston on Thursday is legitimately for the 2 seed

You know, I don't like to admit this but this whole Laker clown show actually kinda makes me envious, in a way.  The Lakers have been a circus of baboons flinging poo for a decade now.  Just blunder after blunder.  Yet they still backed into a championship during that time because Lebron wanted to come to Hollywood.  Every franchise in the NBA needs to be managed with a fair degree of competence (and a healthy pinch of luck) to win titles except the Lakers.

If they were in any other city, I'm not sure they'd be better than the Kings over that timespan.

LA has a ton of titles that are not earned. They just attract talent based on their location and nothing more. Shaq doesn't move out west if they don't have Hollywood.  They are the only franchise that wins due to location rather than FO competence.

That being said, even a marginally competent FO is necessary to take advantage of the recruiting advantages that playing in a megatropolis can offer.  See: the Knicks under James Dolan.

This collapse hasn't been quite as brutal as the Dwight/Steve Nash iteration (2012?) of the Lakers, though.

I was trying to think, historically, of how big of a disappointment this Lakers team ranks in NBA history.

If the Spurs beat the Nuggets and the Suns beat the Lakers then the Lakers are OUT. On national TV. Please god, let that happen.

Houston could be heroes tonight if they can somehow upset Brooklyn. Charlotte and Atlanta need to hold strong.

Houston needs KD to take the night off .   Otherwise KD may get 70 by himself

Lol yeah we need a miracle. Also Murray is out for the Spurs with illness. This is a real chance for god to prove his/her existence (looks upward hopefully)

If the Lakers get knocked out tonight I'll be handing out TP's like candy. If you're hungry get in here for the celebration

BKN has one of the easiest schedules left with only one playoff team (CLE) and they won't have to travel. It appears likely they'll be in the 7 vs 8 play-in game.

I’ve been saying the Lakers were ripe to miss the playoffs for sometime, so I’m looking forward to the TP!

Atlanta can clinch the 8 seed by going 2-2.  That should be doable with the Wizards and Rockets remaining.  The Nets are playing for 9th.

Have to say, not really fond of playing Atlanta in the first round either. Would much rather play Cleveland or Toronto for that matter, and I think even Chicago would be about a similar matchup for us as Atlanta. Just don’t seem to play them that well, though I do think we’d ultimately win that series.

I’d absolutely prefer to play Cleveland.  For what it’s worth tho, Atlanta is without John Collins, who seems to generally cause the C’s trouble. I really just don’t want to play Toronto at this point.  They’re the only healthy team of those in the 5-8 seed range.

The only thing better would be them moving up in the lottery, only to see their pick head to NOP.

That'd be a great thread for the post-playoffs (or an early C's exit), for sure.

Don’t matter who we play, if we are good enough, we should beat anyone in a 7 game series
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin
