I am grumpy too about a lot of our moves / non-moves, but don't you have to do the following:

Dunn is traded, gotta take him off.  Schroder isn't here yet, gotta take him off.

Add in PP who was a 41% 3point shooter last year.

It gets a little better that way.  Throw in Jaylen if you need to because he plays the 2 sometimes.

I am fine with no DS.  Just stops us finding out what we have with the young guys.

I agree with you. TP. Schröder is not a longterm solution or help.
He could help if we were trying to compete, but we are clearly not  :'(.

I mean if we are trying to rescue ball-movement and team basketball do we really need DS for a year?
If they really are extending Smart, just do that (for good or bad) and let someone else deal with DS's issues.

Did we trade Dunn?  I missed that.

And, I did legitimately forget Pritchard.  One guy who can shoot!  Wahoo!

I was wrong about Dunn, so my bad.  Sorry I am getting my trades confused.  For some reason I thought he was outgoing in the expanded Tristan Thompson trade, which the latest reports are that it isn't being expanded.

I don't want DS, I don't even really want Dunn that much, I want us to find a new home for Edwards too.  I wanted us to resign EF.  It has been a frustrating FA for me.

AN shot 37% from 3.  So he is better than all those other guys as well, but he is listed as a SF, and played a lot of 3 just like JB.

When Shroder started for the Hawks he was top 10 in the league assist percentage. He also almost won 6th man of the year. To get him with a short mle is a gift.

And Smart is not getting extended.

Sign me up. A 1 year prove-it deal helps our backcourt rotation this year (especially during Smart's annual weird injury/illness), and doesn't mess with our flexibility/cap space next year.

We won't find a better option with the mini-MLE.
I'm bitter.

Till now I’ve found Shroder annoying and hateable. Not sure exactly why.  But suddenly, I like him.

That and makes me think of Jay Shraeder (sp) with the Redskins and the big patch of bald in his hair.

I seriously think it might just be the little patch of dye in his hair.

I didn't watch him much when he was with ATL.  I saw him quite a bit last season because I live in california.  He wasn't terrible, but he seemed to def play for himself a lot.

I hadn't seen the news that we weren't extending Marcus.  Where did you see that?

It's more than likely Dunn is traded but even if he isn't traded he's not a rotational player. He's the guard version of Moses Brown.

I'd like to think it's something about his game.  But I'm afraid you may be right.

I’ve always disliked Schroeder. Mostly because he absolutely obliterates the Cs. Seem to always have big games against them going back to his ATL days.

Maybe one of those cases you sign him to not have to face him.

Why would anyone want Schroder over Smart? Makes no sense to me. Frankly, he's not that good. Sure cheap one year pickup he is definitely better than Carsen Edwards. I can't understand why everyone is go excited about this possibility. How did he do for the Lakers last year. Obviously they aren't going to miss him. This is like a flea market sale. Let's face it there's not much left and we are looking for the scrap heap pickups.
