Am I alone in thinking that we can compete as a top 3 team in the East without Kyrie or Davis, because our team work will be better, starters Smart, Hayward, Horford, Tatum and Brown is quite good, maybe re-sign Morris and Terry, trade pick(s) for a really good shooter, development of Robert Williams, one of the draft picks will turn out to contribute, Semi can give us decent minutes.

Not saying we win the East, but can compete with Bucks and Raptors. fun team to watch too.

Who is your go-to scorer and one who can be relied on in the clutch? Teams will be trapping Tatum and Brown all night long. I would be thrilled to have Utah Hayward back, not Boston Hayward but that's a stretch nowadays. Opposing bigs will abuse Horford. I'd puke having Rozier back as our point-guard of the future.

Fun team, maybe. But competing with Bucks and Raptors...not a chance.

I have seen all of Rozier, Tatum, Brown, Horford, and Morris all hit clutch shots. Tatum is “supposed” to evolve as a better scorer. BUT I AM EXTREMELY HIGH ON BROWN. I am positive he can be a  consistent scorer off the bench like a Lou Williams. I’m just not sure if he can be high level as a starter, I’m hoping he can I’m just not sure.

Feels like the writing is on the wall.

I am very curious what Ainge's plan B is if Kyrie goes elsewhere and he does not pursue AD. I just cannot see him making three first round picks. Have to think 2 of them are packaged for a vet.

Let's hope this season finally opened Danny's - and Stevens' - eyes and they see the need for some size inside. Brown and Smart as our attack dogs on the perimeter and some athletic 6-9 and 6-10 guys just waiting to defend the rim and rebound like it's 1984 would suit me just fine.

Go to: Hayward and Tatum.  Loss of Kyrie would help both of their games.

Hopefully Williams gets a real go next season. His rookie preseason was hampered by niggling injuries, but I hope this time around he's good to go. Give him 10-15MPG

I've been a fan for over 20 years, I'd hate to watch another scrappy blue collar team, on the fringe of the league. Nauseating thought.

I'd rather have a team filled with All NBA divas, and have a shot to win. I'd rather carry Kyrie's bags and cater to him, than watch this team without him. Losing a top 10 player for nothing would be too much to stomach.

Sadly a lot of fans online love underdog teams, more than all world teams. I don't get it.

I say Danny calls KI at midnight and offers him the 5 years, and asks him what he wants around him. I'd ship Brad out in a heartbeat if that's what Irving wanted. Talent wins titles. I know Kyrie is a 1A, and can't take us there alone, but at least we have a guy like that. Best treat him like one.

Draft is 11 days before that call at midnight. Kyrie would have to commit by June 20th, and if he refuses to, we move on and pick the guys we like or work a trade for someone who won't bail at the end of next year.

Absolutely this. It’s like how when guys always dream of being with some hot girl and then when someone way out of their league finally notices them and gives them a chance, they focus on complaining about every flaw she has instead of what makes her brilliant.

If we had LeBron in his prime, we’d probably see a lot of the same bunch on here complaining and wanting him gone.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I want George Hill for this team if we are moving forward with Jay and Jay as the main cogs.

Can shoot, can defend, won't take shots away from the main guys, none of the drama. Rather have him than keeping Terry Rozier.

Not This.  When will fans have seen enough of the destructive nature of Kyrie Irving ?
If his "I could not care less" playoff performances and attitude did not convince you, nothing else will.

Sure, I want superstars too, but ones with the same attitude as those underdog teams. That has always been true of our title teams, led by Russell, Cowens, Bird and Garnett and supported by talented warriors like KC & Sam, Havlicek, Silas, McHale, Max, DJ, Pierce, Cousy, JoJo, Heinsohn, Parish, on and on. Character matters.

If Kyrie goes to Brooklyn, I wonder if D'Angelo Russell is a possibility (financially.) I just can't imagine how a Kyrie/Russell backcourt would work considering both guys need the ball in their hands. And what if for example, Jimmy Butler is interesting in playing with Kyrie in Brooklyn.

If Hayward is dealt to Cleveland for JR Smith's partial contract (only $3 million guaranteed) and filler and if Horford is either traded or decides to opt out, does that free up enough cash to go after Russell?

Say they sign him to a 4 year/$70 million dollar offer sheet. Brooklyn decides not to match and the two sides work out a deal where the Cs get Russell and the Nets possibly get a future draft pick from the Celts. The Celts move on with a core of Russell, Brown and Tatum. Is this possible?

Hayward will not be dumped anywhere.

I don't think he will either, nor do I want to see that happen unless it's for the right player. Just wondering if the Celts could wiggle enough cap room to go after Russell if Irving leaves.

He is instant offense . He would be very unpopular on the celtics boards ,  he is a gunner and runner ,  unless he could drastically changed , people would be hating on him really really fast like shaggy P .   He may need to mature a few years before Brad could use him
