Sweet. More picks Boston won't ever trade or use. Pretty soon we can have a starting line up of first round picks. Not actual players...Just future picks

So you dump the number one pick for more protected picks. Is the 2018 Lakers pick protected?

Danny seems to be a bit of a hoarder and that may be putting it mildly.

Maybe it has something to do with the influence of all that end-of-days jazz intrinsic to LDS theology. Which, for all we know, could be spot on.

We'll find out one day, one way or the other. That day could be as soon as June 22.

I'm getting nervous all of a sudden.

If it was the end of days wouldn't you spend it?

Man, this feels like the Sebastian Telfair Draft Day garbage.

Wyc should VETO this deal...We're gonna be the Portland Trailblazers passing on Jordan and Durant.

Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

The main question that came to my mind was:

Why would the Cs prefer to trade the pick before or at the draft and not later?

Unusual BPA interpration? Another deal in place for the draft? Need for small cap relief from the 1st moment of free agency?
I think there has to be some sort of protection there. For example, if Jackson is there @3, trade gets done. If Lakers take Jackson, deal is off. Unless Ainge plans on taking someone who is not Fultz/Ball/Jackson.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Sure, but not on more draft picks. :)

This is just not enough.

Lakers have plenty of options to get better next year. They literally sat the 2 FA's they spent 30 million on for most of the season just to lose........that pick is garbage. The 2019 Kings pick will hold more value than the LAL pick in 2018

Lakers could sukk or be good...likely not playoff bound

Its either the Lakers pick or 2018 76ers pick. Rather take chances with the Lakers....plus how awesome is it to make Magic and the Lakers sweat the whole season

Eh, that trade was fine. Dumping the final year of Lafrentz' contract for Theo Ratfliff's shorter deal is what allowed Boston to trade for Garnett. They don't have the 2008 title if they sit tight on draft night 2006.

I'm pretty sure the Twolves would have accepted Brandon Roy and Raef over Ratliff, and maybe we could have kept another asset.

If Ainge doesn't make it the better of Lakers/Sixers 2018, I'd be very surprised.

Way to hedge your bets.

They're going to suck. Deng and Mozgov are irrelevant. They overpaid them, but if that means they're good then so was Travis Knight.
