Any updates for a weary traveler? I'm about to Columbus, Ohio with three hours to go. I don't want to miss anything. However, I'm almost out of data on my phone, and I'm way too much of a cheap arse to pay $20 for 500 MB...

Us or DC.

Yesterday it was us or Atlanta, then us or OKC.  Notice that we're always in the top 2.

Always a bridesmaid and never a bride....

No. It's a Win-Win for us whatever he does. If he chooses Wizards, he's not serious about championships and thus we don't want him. If it was OKC, then that's a different storty. ATL too, but supposedly he 's not thrilled with D12 signing.
I really think we as fans overrate the value of winning titles.  With pro athletes it's money #1 and #2 and then if that's equal it comes down to lifestyle and stuff like that. Stability of the organization matters because things can change quickly in pro sports.  But winning titles is way overrated.  Evan Turner wasn't pursuing a title, he was looking to get paid.

Detroit was the mystery team that made Al Horford's short list of visits, sources say, but he looks lasered in now on Celtics/Wizards/Hawks

So apparently OKC was never even an option?

Kanter is hard to trade + it's not even clear that they'd want to trade him. Seems to be pretty well liked in the locker room.

I'm sure if OKC suddenly clears cap space he'd be open to it. But if he's set on making decision tonight, very very doubtful.

If Horford would make a decision he can put an end to this. I sense posturing.

He's using us as a tool smh
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Good thing we're paying him the exact same amount of money anyone else can then. (Other than the Hawks)

One thing this probably confirms is IF Horford is a Celtic, then Durant will follow.

Per NBA league source, Hawks have upped their offer to Al Horford & added a 5th yr. Not 5-yr Max though

NVM. It was already posted. Pesky Hawks.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington

If Horford signed w Celtics, he'd be in same city as his good friend David Ortiz. They've gotten together over the yrs when Hawks in town.

Too bad he's retiring...

If they wanted him, they would have gone the full 5 year max long ago. I think they are just trying to show their fans they didn't just let Horford walk, they tried. Most fans will buy it.

At this point, I'm feeling like we're being Maverick'd a.k.a being used for leverage.

Durant and Horford...the only big unsigned FAs, and both have only one common team in their final teams -- THE BOSTON CELTICS....Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

"hey we put ourselves in a position where we can't resign him without dumping salary. And we signed his replacement. But we totally wanted him back! Honest!"
