C's , Cavs, Pelican 3 team deal in works?(Rumor) UPDATES on pg 1

Cleveland’s growing interest in New Orleans’ Ryan Anderson bodes well in Boston’s seemingly never-ending quest to acquire Kevin Love in what’s shaping up to be a potential three-team deal that would include the Boston Celtics. The particulars of the deal are still in the discussion phase, but the end result if it comes to pass would send Love to Boston, according to a league source.

Considering Cleveland is also looking at Channing Frye, it certainly seems like Love may be on his way out.

I am fine giving up the 2016 BK pick for Love.  I am not fine adding one of our starters to that package.  I don't see how that makes us better.  The only one that make any sense is Bradley, since Smart can move right into his role.  But that will kill our guard depth and our bench while creating an even worse log-jam at the 4/5 position.

It'd be tough to lose Bradley but Smart is ready to take the reigns and Terry Rozier has the makings of an adequate replacement for the first guard off the bench.

No question a huge downgrade especially in the short term (cant forget that at one point Bradley as ranked 1st in his class above John Wall) but if we need an explosive combo guard to replace our explosive combo guard, IMO we could do worse than giving Rozier a shot.  Doubt he'll ever be the shooter that Bradley is but he could be more effective at getting in the lane which has never been Bradley's strong suit.

Could also see RJ Hunter developing some nice chemistry as a kickout option for Love when he'd gets double teamed in more traditional sets. Trading Bradley would be taking a step back this year but could make us a more complete team in the long run.

if we trade AB Id like to see us keep all 3 of the young gaurds (Rozier Young Hunter). Ive seen them as filler in a lot of trades. If they are necessary to the deals, Id also look into Ben McLemore.

Bradley isnt a great player but hes pretty important to what we do on Offense. Adding K Love is someone who could completely change our offense so I would trade AB for him, but if we want to win or make the ECF wed need to  replace some gaurd depth. That can come internally or via trade.

Also I do firmly agree that trading any assets of value for Love would bring about the end of this current Celtics team's success.

For those doubting Love's impact on the Celts, just think of it this way -- he could play in the EXACT SAME ROLE that Sullinger has right now, play 30-32 minutes a game, and put up 18-20 points on a regular basis, without changing the offense much at all. 

And when the games get tight and Isaiah doesn't have it going, you give it to Love at the top of the key or on the left elbow and let him go to work.

Yeah, I mean obviously Love is superior to Bradley, but I'm not so sure I want to roll with a back court of just Thomas/Smart/Turner.  Losing Bradley is no small matter, he's pretty important to our defense and offense.

None of these three teamers make sense as rumored because you have the Cavs giving up Love and getting back Ryan Anderson, with no further elaboration.  Love is worth like, four or five times as much as Ryan Anderson given their contracts.

Are they reporting on different angles of the rumor, or are they simply discussing the rumor originally credited to @CSNNE?

I've seen a few reports about this on Twitter, but overwhelmingly it's been cavs and Pelicans and "third team". No mention of Boston anywhere.

on offense, working within a system created by CBS, love would be amazing.

on defense, working within a system created by CBS, love would be....hmmmm...to be honest i dont know. i suspect he will suck as ever, but perhaps CBS can both teach him to play SOME defense while covering him up with good defensive schemes.

i am not in love with love as some members here. i worry that his history shows a player who plays farther and farther from the basket, thereby reducing his ability to be an elite rebounder.

well...regardless, we should know by tomorrow evening.
