C's , Cavs, Pelican 3 team deal in works?(Rumor) UPDATES on pg 1

If Love is in play to be dealt from the Cavs there is no doubt that the Celtics will be involved somehow.

However, the original rumor, which has New Orleans giving up an OK 3-pt shooting power forward who is going to be a free agent this year....FOR A TOP 3 DRAFT PICK...is complete utter B.S.

It's more fireworks than alarm bells. If we can get Kevin Love we have to do it.  Paired with Horford that's about as good as we can do.  I just don't see why these teams are going to hand us Love and Horford without at least screwing us over just a bit.

love and horford for Sully, Bradley, Zeller, Lee and Amir, Young and picks is all well and good in theory.  We are trimming the fat. Giving up  good talent though.  Sully, Bradley and Zeller can all play.  Love and Horford are just better.

How would you guys feel if it was one of the Nets picks not next years and Crowder?

It'd probably take something like that would it not?

Taking Crowder off this team to make it better makes no sense unless we are getting someone like Durant back.

I honestly have zero interest in making a deal for Love if said deal requires us to give up any of the following:

* Thomas
* Bradley
* Smart
* Crowder
* Olynyk
* 2016 Brooklyn pick

If we can make a deal for Love without touching any of the above assets then I can live with that, but if it means giving up any of the above then no freaking way.

If Danny gives up any of those assets for "Sully with a three point shot" then I am going to be very, very unhappy.

Considering Cleveland is also looking at Channing Frye, it certainly seems like Love may be on his way out.

I am fine giving up the 2016 BK pick for Love.  I am not fine adding one of our starters to that package.  I don't see how that makes us better.  The only one that make any sense is Bradley, since Smart can move right into his role.  But that will kill our guard depth and our bench while creating an even worse log-jam at the 4/5 position.

Bradley's ability to both cover for Thomas on D and create space for Thomas with his shooting, has been absolutely critical to this team's success this year

Smart can cover for the defensive side of that sure, but until he develops a consistent outside shot he cannot replace Bradley's role. 

Adding Love doesn't cover for that either, he'd just replace the outside shooting we already get from Olynyk...not add more.

I hate to tell you but eventually you will be unhappy. To get something you have to give up something. Half those players won't be on the team when the C's are a contender again. Are they untradeable in your eyes?
