In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Either a whole lot of SOMETHING is going to happen or a whole lot of NOTHING! This is NOT going to be a BOS-NJ ONLY trade!

For 3 years of Gerald Wallace I'd want all the draft picks, ever.

Yup!

I don't think people realize how terrible Wallace has become and how bad his contract really is. We'd be paying him nearly what Rondo makes for 8 points and 4 rebounds.

We're trying to find a way to dump salary in the proposed deal.

We might end up with Wallace still but dump Lee/Terry/Bass to offset his expense soemthing like that.

I would've been much more excited about this deal in June of 2012.

Crash was a fun player, and I could see him playing well with Rondo, but this last season put the nail in the coffin as far as my belief that he could still be the player he once was.

I disagree with those who say the Celtics would be getting 3 bad picks. Assuming the picks are in 2013, 2015 and 2017 the last two picks could become gold. The Nets would be an OLD team but with very high salaries so it would be difficult for them stay at a high level for more than a year so 2015 might be a solid pick and 2017 has a high likelihood of being an extremely high pick. Add to the pot the LAC 2015 pick, you have the makings of great rebuild potential.

So, will "Tank For Wiggins" turn out any differently on draft night than "Tank For Duncan" or "Tank For Oden"?

Funny Wallace story:

Went to the Nets game at the Garden, knowing Wallace had failed to score in the last few games.  I bet my friend, as a joke, that I'd drink a beer for every basket he scored.

By the end of the game I decided I wanted to drink more than a single beer, so the trade was off.

But what does Brooklyn have to add incentive-wise to get other teams to join the party?  I'm thinking the incentive would have to come from Boston's end.

2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Head Coach: Fred Hoiberg

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye
Deep Bench: CJ Watson, H. Thompson, P. Zipser, Papagiannis, Mejri

If it turns out like "Tank for Oden", I´d be very happy.

But is rather have terry and bass at two years than Wallace at three years.

On the flip side. What about the possible Nets lineup next year.

Williams/Watson
Johnson/Brooks
Pierce/Teletovic
KG/Evans
Lopez/Blatche

If the teams plays together as a unit and stops their heavy iso play, which could very well happen under Kidd, then that is a brutally tough starting five to contend with.
