Man, some people really need to get perspective.  Yeah, Wallace's deal is terrible but how much better a trade do you think is out there?

Could always just let them expire...

Boston and Brooklyn discussing a blockbuster deal that would send Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to Nets, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Oh dear. This can't be good. If both are going out, Brooklyn is sending back some very bad contracts.

Ah, but so what?
Don't you think that maybe Atlanta might be waiting with a S and T for Josh Smith.
Ainge is not going to just stick the Celtics with Salary cap woes and lose the cornerstones to the franchise, albeit the older bricks to the foundation.
The man is looking to acquire assets.  He's looking to RE-LOAD.

This is going to be an interesting day-night. I'm hoping to see us run it back.
However if Danny deals Pierce and KG together, we'll have two teams to root for!

This may be totally Auerbachian!

I wonder if we would see an improved G-Wallace if/when he gets away from Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez. Three high usage offensive players. Didn't leave a lot for Wallace to work with.

i am confident wallace's number will increase since the next coach of the celtics will be putting his lame and worn out body on the court 48 minutes a night.

if wallace comes on board it will be to help drive the celtics wagon to the wiggins-promised land. one of the best ways to assure complete suckitude by the celtics is to play wallace for as many minutes as possible.

combine that with rondo taking time to heal and you are 1/2 of the journey to wiggins-ville.

Face that he's an incompetent clown that, when left to his own devices (i.e., no McHale; no Big 3 to develop his draftees) makes horrible moves.

I rather have proven NBA role players than all these draft picks...Celtics draft history isnt very good with the likes of Eric Montross, Acie Earl, JR Giddens, Joe Forte, Kendrick Brown, Michael Smith and more 1st round picks and Im not counting alot of fail 2nd round picks!!
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

If you're going to give players credit for his own draft picks you won't give him credit for anything.  Give me a break.

3 - 1st round picks.

We would have
2 - 2013
1 - 2014 - We could possibly have a VERY high pick Top 10 4 sure.
3 - 2015
1 - 2016
2 - 2017

By this time, Gerald Wallace is off the books.

Lots of cap room with picks.
Rondo will be gone too in the near future.
We could also flip Gerald for trade exceptions and Humphries as well.

Looks at the long term not short term with this.

You guys that criticize our drafting, you should be a fan of some of these other teams for a while and see how they draft for perspective on how well Ainge does late in the first every year.

Newsflash: KG and PP are not as valuable as homer bloggers think. So speaking of reality, remember Ainge has to deal in it, unlike you and me.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
We aren't getting a single prospect in the trade...the future draft picks are good, but they aren't playing for us this season.

All of these overpaid players will just put us in the 12-9 range in the Eastern Conference. It's futile and pointless.

If we do this trade, we need to waive either Wallace or Humphries, or try to dump them somewhere.
