Although the main reason I am pro trade might be a bit more selfish, I agree with you.

I would prefer them together on the Nets over Pierce in Cleveland and KG in Denver or wherever.

A lot of people don't know about Toko Shengelia but he's a really nice young prospect for the Celtics if they get him. He played 10 games in the D-League this year, and had Lebron esque stats with 24 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 4 APG, 2 SPG, and 1 BPG, while shooting 52.7% from the field. He has a great work ethic and attitude, plays hard and has some very good upside. As a Nets fan, if there's one piece I'd be reluctant to give up, it would be him because he's a good young prospect (only 21) on a rookie minimum deal.

I remember when he got drafted last year, thinking "right, this guy's going to stay overseas indefinitely."

But he played great in the Nets summer league games. Rick Kamla was gobsmacked. (Although that's not necessarily saying a whole lot; he gets pretty jazzed by just about anything having to do with basketball.)

This. We're getting complete cap relief by the time we need it, pick up several young assets, send Pierce & KG to a legitimate contender *together*, and obliterating the roster before the 2014 draft. We should play Bradley, Green, Sullinger 30 MPG, give some burn to young centers, and lose 50+ games while Rondo gets healthy. If he sees the enormous upside we keep him. If he doesn't, we deal him.
