People will laugh at Celtics next year, but will cry when we land the first pick and draft GOAT Wiggins.

Just like Duncan and Durrant and Oden. I will believe it when I see it but I will not ever get my hope up again of landing the number 1 pick.
It was supposed be optimism and a joke in between all this uncertainty.

Absolutely awful deal. Where exactly is the salary cap relief everybody is talking about?

By the time Wallace's deal expires, Garnett, Pierce, and Terry's deal would all be off the books anyways.

Really hope this deal catches a snag and falls through.

I don't understand people thinking this is a tanking move.

Rondo/Bradley/Green/Wallace + Lee/Sully/Bass off the bench... There's too much proven talent there to put us in the bottom 5 of the league.

Unless Rondo gets traded - which isn't likely to happen until (unless) he's fully recovered - or suffers an injury setback, then we're more likely to be a 30-35 win team like Philly, Toronto, Portland or Minnesota.
2016 CelticsBlog Draft: Chicago Bulls

Head Coach: Fred Hoiberg

Starters: Rubio, Danny Green, Durant, Markieff Morris, Capela
Bench: Sessions, Shumpert, G. Green, T. Booker, Frye
Deep Bench: CJ Watson, H. Thompson, P. Zipser, Papagiannis, Mejri

And you wouldn't have 3 extra first round picks.

2016 is where the cap relief is.

This is a perfect move for the rebuild.

What exactly do you want the c's to do ?

run it back and then get nothing at all for KG and PP

This sets us up pretty good for the future , and ability to make trades .

Wallace will be a bad contract for 2 years,  but then becomes a big expiring which we will be able to trade .

I don't like the Wallace contract, but we do have the stretch (right?), and he's an expiring in two years anyway.
Mmm ... $30 million over three years so that is $30 over 7 years if use stretch provision. About $4.3 million per annum.

That would create enough wiggle room cap wise to make major free agent additions if available. Good idea.

So what's the actual deal? And if we're trading Terry/PP/KG, then great.

Once all is said and done, I'm going to be a little sad watching us suck. But please basketball Gods... give us Wiggins or Parker!

Pierce/KG/Terry

for

Evans/Humphries/Bogans/Wallace/Shengelia/Low level salary player

+ 3 first rounders...2014, 2016, 2018

whoooaaa
wow...REALLY?
wow
wow, Danny. I'm ok with THIS

Considering where the Nets have been just two years ago...

we´re in much better shape than they were, in my opinion.

Not sure if I agree.

No, I mean, theoretically, we´re better positioned for the future than they were before they traded for Deron Williams.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Its not cap relief though, you don't "get" cap relief by getting more money longer.

We get cap pain, extends on extra year from our current situation.

lol at the people that think its a good idea to tank in order to get picks that may or may not even pan out.

Who says Rondo comes back to the team at all?
He will be traded about the time he is ready.

Bradley/Green/Wallace + Lee/Sully/Bass off the bench...

Lee, Bass, Bradley could also be moved to contenders at the trade deadline. This is tanking at it's finest. Boston will have LOADS of picks in the coming drafts to gain assets. Some are bound to hit.
