Kind of surprise that Cam Thomas isn?t on any roster. He?s not great but can put up some points
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Portland beat Denver the other night. They now have 5 wins and 1 loss. Denver have fallen to .500 with 3 wins 3 losses.

I am surprised by how well POR have been doing. I like their individual players but I thought that overloaded backcourt would be their undoing. That Ja Morant and Lillard wouldn't fit in. And that they would underachieve this season. Has not been the case so far.

Denver have been disappointing. Jamal Murray is putting up huge numbers. 27ppg 5.5rpg 5.7apg on 48.6% FG 51% 3PT 81% FT on 7 FTAs per game. DEN normally whenever J Murray goes on a hot streak. Bad sign.

Jokic has had a bit of a slow start scoring wise but the main problems appear to be their starting forwards and their bench. A Gordon only giving them 11ppg on 35% FG. Cam Johnson 8ppg 43% FG 33% 3PT so an inefficient 8ppg at that.

Nobody on their bench stands out. DeRozan is giving them 10ppg in 25mpg. I expect he is giving most if not all of that back on the other end though. Trevon Brazile? Mo Bagley. Bryce Hopkins? Tyus Jones. Those are the next most played bench guys. I am not sure any of those bench guys are positive contributors for them.

C Braun giving them a lift with 15ppg on good shooting at 53% FG 43% 3PT but on 5 3PTAs a night which is a big increase over the 3 3PTA he averaged previous 2 years. Looks like he is the only one showing up outside of their big two.

DEN could be set for a major fall this year. Even if A Gordon shows up, they look like a 4 man team. No quality role players. Maybe Cam Johnson. That's it.

Utah now have 1 win 6 losses. I thought they would be challenging for .500 this season.

Their lineup looks poor since Jaren Jackson Jr got injured. Darryn Peterson hasn't delivered so far. Ace Bailey has never delivered. So they are getting nothing out of their 2 starting wings. Jaxson Hayes is starting at center while Nurkic is injured but even Nurkic being there instead doesn't change the team that much.

Bench isn't showing much. It is still a two man team with Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen like it was last season when they won only 22 games and lost 60 games. And Markkanen has started badly as well.

Disappointing. Looks like another long season for Utah.

This was Indiana's team last night

SF: Jalen Slawson = who is he?
PF: Jarace Walker = borderline rotation player
C: Jay Huff = backup center
SG: Quenton Jackson = who?
PG: Braden Smith = who?

That was their starting 5. And they only had 1 bench player in Kobe Brown (PF/C) who is a borderline NBA player. Probably not an NBA player. They only had 6 players. Everybody else was out.

Imagine everyone being out injured except for your 6 worst players. That is what Indiana had last night.

Yeah, it?s too bad. I thought they were going to be a fun team to watch this year. Similiar to the Hornets last season. Feel like Danny needs to unload Markkanen. He is almost 30 and just can?t stay healthy.

I dont think Keyonte George is all that good either honestly. If you look at box scores their young talent is supposedly impressive but I dont see it with nearly any of their players.

Peterson is by far their most promising player, and I do think he'll pan out. But I dont think Ainge has as much of a wealth of talent there as some people think.

Hey Braden Smith is the NCAA Division 1 all time assists leader!

Was it injuries? It looked to me like their starters got benched.

I continue to argue that the assumption that the Pacers are back as an elite team with Haliburton healthy is silly. I know he's already injured again, but if the team is a 20 win team without him, then are they a contender with him?

the idea was that it was the addition of Zubac with Hali's return as the key to them being a playoff team

Indy was ravaged by injuries last year. They were never a 20 win team talent wise. It was just that injuries wrecked them. They should have been around .500.

So it is more like adding Hali to a .500 team and him lifting them to a 50-55 win team ... to my mind.

The Golden State Warriors are not delivering semimonthly payments to veteran center Kristaps Porzingis on his $20 million salary, league sources told ESPN, ruling that the currently absent center is not rendering his services.

General manager Mike Dunleavy and the Warriors' front office are still actively pursuing trade avenues utilizing Porzingis' contract even as the 31-year-old leans toward ending his NBA career.

For rival teams, absorbing Porzingis' near-expiring salary could either allow them to move a longer-term salary out to save money (plus clear a roster spot via buyout) or theoretically net a draft asset, depending on what the Warriors are willing to attach.

I think the fit between Keyonte George & Peterson was always going to be bad. The biggest problem with fixing their guard rotation is that Peterson & George both have the same agent.

If I was Ainge, I would trade Keyonte George and build around Peterson. An ideal guard pairing for Peterson would be someone like a Derek Fisher.
