Preseason is underway. Jokic is in great shape. Looks like he lost more weight. Darryn Peterson looks really bad defensively. Yikes

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Here we go.  All 4 major sports having games.  Hard for me to get very excited until the Celtics games start.

Still not sure how Philly is going to be able to get everyone involved in the offense.

I am surprised J Hawkins signed a two-way contract so quickly. I understand if it was a proper contract but a two way? Why not wait a few days and see if you can get a better deal? His agent must have been getting some negative responses. I'd like him as a 3rd stringer on a proper contract while we see if he can improve his defense & physical strength.

Chicago is a decent situation for him. They have lots of athletic forwards but not much shooting at SG. There may be an opening there for him.

A bird in the hand I guess.  CHI does have one regular roster spot open.  He has a chance to earn it.

According to commentator Mike Breen, LeBron James called out Joel Embiid after he showed up a couple of minutes late to one of the Sixers' practices. "They are, they're raving about how he's been so far. Obviously, it's only a week of camp. But I had somebody tell me before the game that they were out ready to practice and Joel Embiid walked out on the court a couple minutes late. LeBron let him hear it," Breen said during the 76ers-Knicks broadcast.

Bruce Brown, among the newest crop of Knicks signings, went from logging 82 games last season with a title contender to a scant free agent market. The teams interested weren?t many, he told The Post, and the common excuse was the second apron. I heard that all summer, Brown said.

Bron's probably the only player in the league outside of Curry that has status to tell Embiid off and possibly get through to him.  I don't doubt Embiid's needed someone riding his butt for years to get him motivated to play and win.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Embiid isn't a rookie contract player anymore. Too much pride.

He looked ticked off on the bench after that interaction.

Minnesota is going to be tough this year. I really like the roster moves they made.
