Week into season and injuries already adding up. Sheesh.

Utah Jazz star Jaren Jackson Jr. has sustained a torn MCL in his right knee and will be sidelined for 6-to-8 weeks, sources tell me and
@BannedMacMahon
. Jackson will not require surgery.

Utah lost 4 big men to injury in 24 hours

* Nurkic - starting center - out 1 month foot injury
* Jaxson Hayes - backup center - day to day
* Lauri Markkanen - looked like hand injury
* Jaren Jackson Jr - 6-8 weeks

They were down to Filipowski & Mo Bamba in that game last night.

also per Shams

Just in: Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee and miss up to two months, sources tell ESPN

That really sucks. He was playing so well.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Kawhi injured too. Unfortunate coincidence that he will miss his return to LA.

Nets weren't interested in Jaylen Brown?

And though Brown ended up in star-studded Philadelphia (with LeBron James, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey), he could?ve landed in Brooklyn. And wasn?t wanted. They weren?t lowballing, a source said. They just shut it down altogether. They just said, We?re not interested. Sources told The Post that not only did the Celtics offer Brown to the Nets, but that the former Finals MVP was more than willing to join the Nets. It was the Nets that declined, according to sources, not about Boston?s asking price, but to avoid another Kyrie Irving situation.

The Nets did not want back their 2016 lottery pick that Billy King traded with Danny Ainge for back in 2013.  ;D
