Big Ben and Tim Duncan are a ferocious defensive foundation.

Thanks Who, I always like when you have nice things to say about my team!

Also like the Duncan/Wallace combo.

Would like feedback on my Durant/Zo combo.

I love Kevin Durant. I thought he would have gone in the middle of the first round. His size and skill-level. Prolific and highly efficient scoring. Very strong defender / rebounder. Such a difficult guy to matchup against.

Alonzo Mourning is a real good interior player. Terrific team defender and defensive anchor.

An excellent foundation to build around. Both guys can play with just about anyone too. So you have pretty much every option still open to you in terms of roster construction.

Thanks Who.

As I said, love the Shaq, T-Mac matchup. Best year of Shaq's career and T-Mac gives you Kobe like wing player, who is arguably more versatile and better. Plus you get the next pick.

Yeah it is hard not to see Who in the Driver's Seat right now. Really interested to see his next pick. I also think McGrady's personality is a better fit with Shaq then Kobes was.

Wan't T-Mac too.

Like the Gasol/Robinson pairing.

Not sure on Marion/Webber as Marion is a better 4 than 3.

Oh and I'd have gone Paul over Nash.

First off, it's the Matrix and C - Webb, thankyou very much.

Second of all, ya, we'll see. Like I said previously, part of the reason I drafted the Matrix is because how unique of a skill set he has and the flexibility he provides, and I didn't want to miss out on it.

I'm not necessarily sure if he'll start at the 3, the 4 (moving Webber to 5) or off the bench.  His flexibility gives me more options on how I'd like to continue. I do think Webber's passing ability, and ability to operate in the highpost allows Marion to be a very effective 3 though if that's how I chose to operate.

Despite his rather unsavory reputation on CelticsBlog, to balance our team with scoring, (and passing over a similar player for purely personal reasons), for their second pick in the 2012 CB Historical Draft, the LA Clippers select four-time NBA Scoring Champion and three-time steals leader, 6' 0", 165-pound Combo Guard from Georgetown University, (and Mutombo team-mate under John Thompson, as well as in the NBA) ...

 ... Allen Iverson.

I'm an Iverson guy - would love to see him in the role of super-6th man

Thoughts on the Miller pick?

I hated the pick until you pointed out the Lebron argument. It might be a bit early for him, but I think his value is important enough to you that it probably makes sense to lock him up.
I think it's an ok time for him to be selected and I'm trying to find a reason why I don't like him with LBJ but the only thing I can come up with is that it doesn't feel right. If you're looking for a shooter and a clutch one at that, you got him. Other than shooting how did Reggie hold up? Defense?

LeBron = ball dominant, heavy high PnR usage, can be a ball stopper
Reggie = off the ball screen action, needs multiple screens

To utilize either one to the full extent of their abilities is to run two polar opposite types of offenses.

Not a perfect complement but A strong complement. Mainly due to Reggie's ability to take a lesser role and still be very effective to LeBron's lead ... but, for me, not a high functioning combo. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the lineup and how the offense balances out.
That's sort of my thought as well and Reggie is so bad defensively Lebron is going to have to take the best wing on that end and in a league like this, the other wing will likely brutalize Miller.  Frankly, I think there are players that would have fit better and still filled the shooting bill that Reggie does.

With the final pick of the 2nd round, Philadelphia takes Tracy McGrady (2002-03).
Great pick, thought he was going to be gone at the top of the round.
It was him or Pierce for me, but Pierce is the better defender, more versatile, and a Celtic.

Can't really go wrong with a MVP and you absolutely needed the scoring with your first pick.

Yeah, that's what sealed it for me ... I needed a perimeter guy who can create offense and turnovers ... he fit the bill, (and I've always loved the guy's game, secretly, of course ;)).

Great Combo.

I like most of the combos, 1-2 maybe not so much but to each his own.
