Love Wallace and Duncan.

Thanks haha, I was waiting for some type of response!

I got beat into the ground for this last year, but I'll bring it up again - in this format, I don't think you can make up for Wallace's ineffectiveness on offense. It's too sizeable of a gap to have to make up for at other positions.

Trust me, Brother...I know about Ben.

I picked him last year, and his offense was a concern then, too...

See I think of it as, There are still only so many possessions in a game and so many shots in a game.  An Elite Defensive player has more of an impact on this format because he can have an effect on every play whereas an elite scorer or shooter can't have that same effect because as you said there are many elite scorers and shooters.

Thoughts on the Miller pick?

I hated the pick until you pointed out the Lebron argument. It might be a bit early for him, but I think his value is important enough to you that it probably makes sense to lock him up.
I think it's an ok time for him to be selected and I'm trying to find a reason why I don't like him with LBJ but the only thing I can come up with is that it doesn't feel right. If you're looking for a shooter and a clutch one at that, you got him. Other than shooting how did Reggie hold up? Defense?

LeBron = ball dominant, heavy high PnR usage, can be a ball stopper
Reggie = off the ball screen action, needs multiple screens

To utilize either one to the full extent of their abilities is to run two polar opposite types of offenses.

Not a perfect complement but A strong complement. Mainly due to Reggie's ability to take a lesser role and still be very effective to LeBron's lead ... but, for me, not a high functioning combo. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the lineup and how the offense balances out.

If Pierce and Ray can do it then these two guys can do it. LBJ is a very willing passer. I don't see the issue. Plus Reggie can spot up as LBJ drives and kicks.
LeBron and Pierce are two different types of offensive players. Plus, Ray Allen did need to take a reduced role to make it work.

I disagree. I can't think of a better wing compliment for LBJ than Reggie. When LeBron drives the lane, Miller will have countless looks from outside, and LeBron definitely has the vision to hit him.

Any shooter can fill that job description. You don't need a scorer of Reggie's caliber ... and if you reduce him to that, you lose a fair bit of Reggie's shot-creation abilities.

------------------------------------------

Sorry, I think there is some confusion about what I was saying.

I never said they were a bad fit. They are a good fit. Just not a great fit (for me).

I'm not so sure, and I think the Spurs-Thunder series is kind of a miniature look into this argument: A team filled with guys who can score the ball against a team with a few elite scorers and role players.

I'm going with Mr. Big Shot for my Starting PG:

Tough, Championship experience and good size for a PG. Elite defender as well.

Well as far as Reggie's role being taken away, there are times when he can be called upon to run the offense or take over. If Lebron is sitting, or if King James decides to

then Reggie can step up in the 4th quarter.

For another recent example, if you're playing against the team with KG what's to stop him from roaming off Wallace as a devastating help defender like he did Jason Collins?

Being an extremely poor offensive player also hurts your team on every offensive possession, allows for tighter coverage and more help.

Good pick. I think there are more talented PG's out there, but he's as good a starter as you're gonna want to ask for.

I was wondering when that would happen, awesome stuff. He was unbelievable before the injuries - scoring, passing, defense, length, athleticism.

Thanks...I went back and forth for about 15 min with him and another PG I won't mention.

I'm betting that the "Other PG" won't get past Who....

Great pick, thought he was going to be gone at the top of the round.
