Thoughts on the Miller pick?

I hated the pick until you pointed out the Lebron argument. It might be a bit early for him, but I think his value is important enough to you that it probably makes sense to lock him up.

It was Ray or Miller when my pick came up.

Thoughts on the Miller pick?

Any idea what season?

I'm thinking either 90 or 94 as my top two choices. It's tough to decide right now though. 1994 his shooting averages were 50/42/91. His scoring was down from the previous few years, but he's not going to need to be the primary scorer with Lebron on board.

He certainly works well with Lebron.

I think it's an ok time for him to be selected and I'm trying to find a reason why I don't like him with LBJ but the only thing I can come up with is that it doesn't feel right. If you're looking for a shooter and a clutch one at that, you got him. Other than shooting how did Reggie hold up? Defense?

He is in the Hall of Fame. Was the best player on a Finals Team. Reggie is a great player and playing with LBJ will only make him better. Plus he really opens the floor up for James and is automatic from the line.

LeBron = ball dominant, heavy high PnR usage, can be a ball stopper
Reggie = off the ball screen action, needs multiple screens

To utilize either one to the full extent of their abilities is to run two polar opposite types of offenses.

Not a perfect complement but A strong complement. Mainly due to Reggie's ability to take a lesser role and still be very effective to LeBron's lead ... but, for me, not a high functioning combo. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the lineup and how the offense balances out.

I disagree. I can't think of a better wing compliment for LBJ than Reggie. When LeBron drives the lane, Miller will have countless looks from outside, and LeBron definitely has the vision to hit him.

If Pierce and Ray can do it then these two guys can do it. LBJ is a very willing passer. I don't see the issue. Plus Reggie can spot up as LBJ drives and kicks.
