I got beat into the ground for this last year, but I'll bring it up again - in this format, I don't think you can make up for Wallace's ineffectiveness on offense. It's too sizeable of a gap to have to make up for at other positions.

See I think of it as, There are still only so many possessions in a game and so many shots in a game.  An Elite Defensive player has more of an impact on this format because he can have an effect on every play whereas an elite scorer or shooter can't have that same effect because as you said there are many elite scorers and shooters.

I'm not so sure, and I think the Spurs-Thunder series is kind of a miniature look into this argument: A team filled with guys who can score the ball against a team with a few elite scorers and role players.
Well I think you are being overly generous to several players on the Spurs, looking at the box score from last night they are pretty topheavy right now.

But personally I think there is a reason that the best defensive teams wind up competing for a championship more often than not.

Kinda, after his complete meltdown a couple years ago.

Too many seasoned vets making logical pairings in this draft. Where's the stupidity at?

Boy I can't WAIT until tomorrow, lol...

I've got a great pairing to make with KG...I can see this guy working quite well with him, while being able to hold his own vs everyone else.

"I want you, I need you, but there ain't no way that I'm ever gonna love you.."- Guy whose team desperately needs a an undersized perimeter scorer who can create his own shot against anyone, anywhere.

Even with the Ben Wallace pick...I'm sure that in this format Tim would get the guy some easy baskets.

Tim was an elite passer for his size...I rank his Big Man passing up there with KG, _______, _________, and  _________.

Ben Wallace had/has GREAT hands...I remember Chauncey giving him plenty of looks during their championship run in 03-04...and the big fella rarely fumbled any of them.

For another recent example, if you're playing against the team with KG what's to stop him from roaming off Wallace as a devastating help defender like he did Jason Collins?

Being an extremely poor offensive player also hurts your team on every offensive possession, allows for tighter coverage and more help.

Wallace's ability to offensive rebound and catch lobs for oops? He didn't hurt Detroit when they won the title.

Wan't T-Mac too.

Like the Gasol/Robinson pairing.

Not sure on Marion/Webber as Marion is a better 4 than 3.

Oh and I'd have gone Paul over Nash.
