****ANNOUNCEMENT****

Okay, here is the deal for everyone:

I'm re-instituting the Veto. I'm willing to listen to those who are against this. It slows down the game, it puts too much power in my greedy hands, I get it.

If you have a compelling reason why I shouldn't do it, I'll listen. Otherwise, speak now or forever hold your peace.

I trust your judgement and things have been moving along nicely. (Except for the stalled head coach draft?) But I'm inclined to say if there wasn't a veto in place at the start there shouldn't be one instituted now.

Normally, I'd agree. However, I believe firmly in this instance this is for the better of the game. If you want to talk about it further, PM me.

(And I don't mean PM me like 'lets meet at the bike racks after school', I mean really, if you need further explanation, PM me, and that goes for everyone.)

If anybody wants legal representation due to IP's arbitrary and capricious institution of ex post facto rules, I know a lawyer who can help you out.  ;)

Paul George
What are you expecting out of George next season?

I'm loath to give the Pawnee Pacers any credit given how they pulled one over on our front office earlier in the round. But I like what I saw from George late in the season. Great low risk high reward pick up.

Haywood is a very good pick.

I need to move Jennings for a defensive minded wing, but has your stance changed at all with the additions of Young, Crawford, and Haywood? Or do you still see me as last in the Northwest and missing the playoffs?

Thanks for your thoughts?

Excellent value pick but wasted in the Triangle

The guy doesn't play defense, but he can shoot and he's a great passer.  Definitely worthy of a late 6th.

Ha, you're not the guy who started giving up a 10th and ended up giving up a 7th. TONY ALLEN FOR THE WIN!(man that sounds awful)

Did Pacers get skipped for their 23rd pick in the 6th or did they miss their time?

Let's wait until the dust settles on the 7th round, so I can see what the rest of your division did as well.  Short answer:  I like the addition of Crawford and Haywood, and don't care much for the Nick Young pick.  He's very talented, but doesn't have his head where it should be.

I don't think he's wasted at all.  He is a good outside shoot and has a good ball handle with minimal turnovers.

Seriously, is there any good reason not to have a veto?  Suspending it was the only rule from the Commish that I've disagreed with.  Reinsituting it is necessary to keep competitive balance.

I trust IP (as with all commishes in the past) I just thought if IP wanted to explain why it might meet with less contention... though I also understand his not wanting to publicly call out certain GMs.

I'm down with reinstituting it.

Reminder for everyone to throw some TPs IP's way!!!

I was amazed by his defensive ability in the playoffs, if I could get that out of him I'd take it.

But I think he matured throughout the season as well, jumper was getting there and his passing skills were very strong.

I have the 6.23 right now, but still thinking a few guys over.

I think I say this every year when somebody takes Phil Jackson, but I think Jackson is a good enough coach to adapt his system to his personnel.  If Calderon is his point guard, he'll make him work.
