San Antonio selects Amir Johnson.

Too high, methinks.

Can score, rebound, defend. Solid backup 4. How much better is Hansborough?

Significantly in my mind.
How much of that is based on watching Hansborough have a big game against Miami, while not seeing Amir for most of the year?
Taking over a playoff game in your 2nd year is pretty big.  Bigger than anything Amir has ever done, he didn't even really get playing time until he was on a dreadful Toronto team.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

To be fair, I watched a lot of INdy games, especially after the pick 2 draft, and I don't even know if I saw both the Raptors games against the Celtics.

But I do know that Hansbrough is a more versatile scorer, among other things.

With the 19th pick, The Kangs select: Boris Diaw

We love his versatility and think he will be a solid contributer off the bench for us.

That's probably the first pick from the Kings that I don't much care for.

Yeah, that was my first reaction to it too ...

But as I take a moment and think about a frontcourt of LeBron James (SF), Paul Millsap (PF) and Boris Diaw (C) ... I think that grouping could work very well.

Diaw's versatility offensively with his jump shot, passing ability and ball-handling ability - plus, he can create a mismatch against most Cs (offensively) - combined with Millsap's skill-set and LeBron's pick and roll and dribble penetration game. That will be very difficult to defend against.

Need a top notch pick and roll defense with a lot of quickness to have any hope of denying them a quality shot attempt.

Then throw in the quickness, intelligence and activity of their team defense from that frontcourt trio.

--------------------------------

Then you have Diaw the PF alongside T.Chandler which is a beautiful defensive combination and an effective offensive combo too.

--------------------------------

I think Boris Diaw works wonderfully well on that roster. I didn't at first but I like it a lot now.

I can see why, I acknowledge that he has some weaknesses, as does any player taken at this stage of the draft, but we like that he has some size, moves the ball well and shoots well from 3 for a PF which was what we were looking for.

Stolen straight out of the CB Pick Two Miami Heat playbook...

And when i say he took over the game, I mean TOOK OVER.  What he did against ECF champs shows some very solid potential.

****ANNOUNCEMENT****

Okay, here is the deal for everyone:

I'm re-instituting the Veto. I'm willing to listen to those who are against this. It slows down the game, it puts too much power in my greedy hands, I get it.

If you have a compelling reason why I shouldn't do it, I'll listen. Otherwise, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Kane, I'd ask that you hold off picking until 6.21 happens. Should be any second now.
