These are exhibition games with scores of 142-141 or something like that right? Are we really going to put any stock into summer league all-star games as a way of measuring players against each other?

No which is why Durant torching the competition isn't a huge surprise.  Pro basketball doesn't count unless it's up against an entire team of NBA-level players, playing NBA-quality defense, during the season where everyone is giving 110%.

Anything done against less serious competition simply isn't a true indicator.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I've watched the highlights from the Drew Vs Melo game, and Durant looked sick.

But remember, dude is still average defensively, and a poor passer. Room to grow for sure, but he's not gonna jump LBJ next season. Maybe the best scorer in the league though.

I don't know if he'll ever jump Lebron in terms of overall game (until Lebron hits 31 or so).  Lebron's still only 26 himself so still has room to improve his game as well in the upcoming seasons.  And Lebron is IMO the 2nd best defender in the NBA and one of the top 15 passers in the NBA.  Besides a consistent jumpshot, he has a pretty complete game.  I agree that Durant is maybe the best scorer the league.
