giving 9 mil per year to perkins would have been devistating

Yeah, I think we can call the trade more or less a wash for both teams at this point.  Neither team got very much out of the players they acquired -- though each team improved in some areas and weakened in others, it appears that neither was really "put over the top" or seriously weakened by the trade.

Tyson Chandler is a truly great player. I'd love to see him in green.

This playoff run has increased his stock by a lot....he won't come cheap.

I don't think Chandler has ever come cheap his whole career. He has been overpaid for most of it and now he is basically earning his money

Yeah i agree i don't think he's ever been cheap. From researching online it looks like he earns 12.6 million a season, and he's a free agent this summer. I doubt the Cs will have that kind of room.

The knee surgeon is licking his lips watching Perkins try and run at the moment. He definitely won't be out of work for the summer..

Perk will be fine next season. I thought it took about a year to overcome such a procedure, right?

Look at our own KG. He was not himself until this year, really.

Kg has far more talent than Perkins could ever dream of having...even though he's slow he's still very effective..

Yes, it's really quite hilarious.  Because Perk's 2 pts and 4 or 5 rebounds a game with a few fouls and a block or two would have made such an ENORMOUS difference against the Heat.

::)

Having to shell out nearly $10 million a year for Perk's services for the next 4 years would have been an albatross as well, considering Perk doesn't really fit with the quick / athletic / up-tempo kind of team that Rondo is supposedly meant for.

Even if you ignorantly think Perk would have done nothing for us on the court, or made any of his teammates better, there is no way you can discount the fact that "the trade" clearly weakened our team.  We were way stronger before it was made; if you're looking for a reason all you can do is speculate, but that is an absolute fact.

Also who cares if we were gonna sign Perk or let him walk for nothing.  We needed him this year with this group of players.  Seriously, who cares about the future if keeping Perk means we're playing the Bulls right now?

Tough start for Wade. A blown dunk + Boozer stripped him on the way up for a fastbreak layup + another turnover while dribbling the ball upcourt.

Three wasted possessions right at the start of this one.
